58 years congrats and many more my man....have you ever seen such a anemic passing game for our Cowboys?
I mean maybe the quincy Carter years but staying awake and having every Red zone drive end up a FG is really not Cowboy football and zzzzzzz BORING!!!!
The one with most points in the end wins and we watch and hope our defense can hold them to under 20 points or its a LOSS....

Probably because Cole Beasley was his number one receiver lol.

You and I agree on something. The world must be ending.

You took the word right out of my mouth. The FO completely blew the beginning of the season with the WR by committee BS. It will be better this year

A young QB is going to run the plays that are called. So the drinks and drinks come from a Garrett styled offense. Blame Garrett.

The offense takes on the personality of its headcoach. Garrett is boring and conservative. So Garrett's offense was boring and conservative.

Was Gattett Dak's coach in college too? Because Dak was the same low risk QB he is now while he played at Mississippi ST.
Look up his junior review and it clearly says that Dak increased his completion percentage that year because he increased his check check down throws.

But yeah, blame Garrett.

I know Cole Beasley and the likes weren't all pros but I find it odd that 3 receivers (Bryant, Wiliams, Beasley) all declined in "ability" in less than 2 years after Romo retired..

What will the excuse be this year?

Maybe so. When we had a literal top 3 wide receiver of all time and top 3 tight end of all time in their primes playing.

Imagine that.

Imagine having Patrick Crayton as a starter and still putting up 36 TDs and 4,000 plus yards..

But, but,but...

Not to mention how a nobody like Robinson came in and had a Pro Bowl type of season with Romo and then disappeared in Jacksonville after that..

I can only imagine what Romo would have done with Cooper, Gallup and Beasley from last year..

The cowboys WR corps have always been mediocre in depth people keep acting like Romo had it made. Does Crayton, Hurd, Ogletree, and the likes scare anyone?

Oh, and T.O. would have ate Dak for lunch so dont even start..

They most definitely whether you like Dak or not everyone has to see they goofed on how they handled receiver. What they did at receiver arguably could’ve really set them some years back. They attempted to rebuild their receiving group with no plan. Passed up Ridley. They can sit here and say they knew Gallup would be this good and that Cooper would be available via trade but they would be lying.

Everything starts out up top. Shut rolls down hill not up. Dak was not as dink and dunk in 2016. Dak friendly changed things drastically. And Dak friendly came from Garrett.

How can Dak be aggressive when all of his wide receivers are running sticks? Digs, comebacks, curls, and china routes are mainly what the receivers ran. That's some dink and dunk play calling. So yeah, blame Garrett for boxing his players in.

Romo didn’t help make T.O. Great. He was already a great player before Romo. T.O. Was highly productive with every QB he played under.

It’s also probably dismissive of Witten to say the same thing to be honest.

Either way, football is a symbiotic sport. They all rely on each other to help each other play well. That’s true.

But guys like Pappy who I was responding to, don’t see it that way and don’t make arguments to that effect. He likes to blame the poor passing offense to start last season solely on the QB. When we had arguably the worst wide receivers and tight ends in the entire league. Doesn’t equate ya know.
Remember when Andy had to wear the spandex uni?

Numbers say before Cooper the first half of last season our WRs were the worst in the NFL in separations......#facts not the media with an agenda to get clicks and views. After the addition of Cooper we went to top 10 #facts
I guess the play by play announcers (Aikman was one) that was analyzing every play and the Cowboy WRs that was open and screaming for the ball, don’t know what they are talking about. That’s good to know. Where did your numbers come from?

Think Garrett and Linehan we're there when Romo was QB and our offense was our strength and unstoppable......you sure its not the carriage but the Horse?

You talking about the version of Romo that had to improvise nonstop holding onto the ball way too long throwing picks n taking sacks looking to make something happen? Or are you talking about 2014 Romo who had a good line and an all RB? Two very different Romo's and two very teams.

Quit trying to pretend like Garrett's scheme isn't total garbage, Romo made plays yeah...but he threw game ending picks etc, etc, etc, plenty of times too.
Thank god we won all those SBs with Romo, we could not win another for 24 years and be fine.

You can look at the replays on ANY QB in the league and find wide open people almost every play...quit acting like Dak's the only one who doesn't see this.

His own WRs was complaining. It is a problem. Why deny it. From all indications, Dak is not seeing open WRs as well as average QBs. Aikman spoke about it several times. He should know as much about it as anybody.
