I saw where the Saints cut Jacquizz Rodgers, I wonder if there were any other significant cuts at RB. I honestly believe that running behind our line is better than a lot of other teams offensive lines. Pollards teammate Darrell Henderson didn't have a very good preseason for the Rams, 23 attempts for 57 yards 2.5/carry.

even with a signing, Zeke playing sunday is risky anyway....we should get used to the idea of pollard getting all of the carriers against the gnats

Which round? I was able to nab him with my 9th rounder in a 14 team league last Monday.

I have Saquon and Zeke (and drafted Pollard as a handcuff)

I am conflicted on the holdout... I’d love to see JJ play hardball, Pollard turn into a baller, and destroy Zeke’s leverage.

But mostly I just want Zeke to sign and end the drama so we can have the best team we can field for the season, and so I can have an absolute devestating RB combo in FF

How did you end up with both? Barkley went #1 in my league and I believe Elliott went #4. 12 team league.

From everything I have read it appears the Cowboys are the only one compromising. It seems Zeke's camp has held fast in their demands. Honestly, I would prefer the Cowboys draw a line in the sand and don't cross it... They are about to open Pandora's box relative to negotiations in the future. Also Zeke carries a lot of risk given his off the field antics coupled with the physically punishing position of RB.
If that’s the case then if Pollard impresses against the giants Elliot maybe sitting for a while.

Well atleast I’m the football genius who drafted Pollard yesterday
I missed the draft but ended up getting Dak.....looking to trade Wince before he gets hurt. Pollard is gonna be a great dual threat for fantasy bye weeks even if Zeke's deal gets done. Excellent pick up.

Momentum between Cowboys, Ezekiel Elliott stalls

Just when it seemed likely that Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott‘s holdout would last into the regular season, the pendulum began to swing the other way on Saturday. By Sunday, the pendulum slowed down, considerably.

Charles Robinson of Yahoo Sports reports that, while talks continued on Sunday afternoon, “Dallas is frustrated with the last exchange.”

“After Saturday’s momentum, Cowboys expected more compromise to get a deal done today,” Robinson reports. “Didn’t happen, so it’s on to Monday and a hopeful reset.”

That update from Robinson came after he reported on Saturday that the two sides are “close to completing” a contract extension. That was a stronger version of the Adam Schefter tweet that indicated talks “are intensifying,” with the goal of getting a new deal done “this weekend.”

The Labor Day holiday means the weekend isn’t technically over, which gives the two sides one more day to wear white and/or to see if one side or the other will wave the white flag of the final capitulation that gets a deal done in time for Elliott to join the Cowboys for Week One against the Giants.
Shocking news! I am aghast! What will we do now?!
Yawn...

Totally agree. I know we need him and he make us better. But we have a team to worry about not just Zeke. let him sit and lose money

I’d like to know some details of exactly what he’s turning down.

I’m not sure if his agents have properly factored in his risky behavior.

My guess is the Cowboys want a clause saying he loses guaranteed money if he gets suspended again.

His agents don’t care about Zeke’s ‘risky behavior’.

I knew he wanted too much when he took his ball and went to Cabo at the start of camp with 2 years left on his signed contract.
It must be either SJ and JJ refuse to want to give him what SJ said with gurly money. Or Elliot is wanting way more. I was hearing 15 million a year. Not a huge jump so the guaranteed money must be huge.

I hope Zeke sits multiple weeks. It will answer a few questions.

Plus, I'm done with this idiot. Yeah, he might be the best RB in the NFL right now, but he has the self-control of a toddler and the mental acuity of a soggy biscuit off-the-field. You just know the second he signs, he find a way to get suspended and screw the team anyway.
