Spend more time under table.
….would this explain why Jerry has allowed the Zeke contract negotiations to get to this stage, when he knew talks were forthcoming all along.....he sucks at GM (Stephen too).Unless the team falls apart, Garrett won’t be fired. If everything fans say about Jerry is right, he sucks at GM, he undermines the HC, etc. maybe Garrett is the one saying no thanks. I will go somewhere else. The day after his contract has expired he will have multiple job offers from other NFL teams so I wouldn’t blame him to go somewhere else.
8-8 or better?
Winning record, regardless of playoff status?
At least a playoff appearance?
At least one playoff win (for the second straight year)?
At least a close-fought defeat in the divisional round (like the 2014 and 2016 Green Bay games, but a better showing than last year)?
At least a NFCCG appearance?
At least a NFCCG appearance and a close-fought defeat?
At least a Super Bowl appearance?
At least a Super Bowl appearance and a close-fought defeat?
Super Bowl victory?
What about excuses based on if Zeke is there or not? What about other injuries?
Discuss.
I think that’s the general consensus around here, but I don’t think that’s remotely the case.

I think, contrary to what many here believe, that’s probably true. He would be more in demand than people would believe.
JG is winning a Superbowl this season and will get the ax because his QB stats don't show up on the stat sheet every week.8-8 or better?

I hate to say it, but this offseason has been such a mess that it is really not fair to judge Garrett this year for another long term contract.8-8 or better?

I think Garrett will be moved to a big position in the front office if they fire him from coaching. The will create a position if they have to.I absolutely think it is. Both Joneses have said that he needs to go farther in the playoffs. Asked on last year, that adds up to a Championship Game appearance.
They had their excuse last year after the playoff win to extend him. They actively chose not to. They can't now go back and 'sell' the idea of an extension to anyone if he goes out and does less this year. And they won't. No matter how much they like him personally, like the vast majority of fans, they have finally reached the point where it's **** or get off the pot. Win or we're forced to try to find someone who can.
But I could easily see Garrett remaining in the organization in some capacity.
