Jerry Jones was convinced Prescott was his long-term quarterback as early as the second month of Prescott's rookie season or nearly three entire years ago. On the other hand, certain fans and media sports talking heads remain convinced Jones is or should not be totally invested in Prescott three years later.

Jerry Jones has made a proactive and protracted effort to reach a compromise with Prescott at the earliest mutually agreed upon opportunity that shall make Prescott one of, if not the, highest paid quarterbacks in the league. In contrast, certain fans and media sports talking heads contend Jones should or will not sign Prescott to a huge contract in 2019.

Maybe.

Just maybe.

Jerry Jones, and certain fans and media sports talking heads, are mutually not QUITE working on the same wavelength--like Jones is tuned to crystal clear Sirius XM and the latter are constantly searching for a static free AM channel.

There are 32 teams in the NFL. In any given year c.25 of them have QBs who are clearly good enough to start in the league. Maybe not "elite", but with nearly all the required skills.

In any given offseason, several NFL teams will change their starting QBs. In any given offseason, there are several options for teams seeking starting QBs - both veterans and draftees.

This notion that starting quality QBs are as rare as dodos is complete rubbish.

Go through some realistic scenarios. Give me some examples of successful moves that are extremely common, as you hint.

Then tell me some moves the Cowboys could’ve and or should’ve made.

I also disagree with your premise that there are 25 decent QB’s. There clearly aren’t 25 better than Dak and that’s what we’re talking about.

I root for the team. Dak is an indispensable part of the team. Let me guess. You must root for Dak to fail, which by extension indicates that you do not root for the team but root against players you don't like.

How ironic..

The man who "hated" Romo is now upset at others that dislike Dak..

If anything, you should understand where we're coming from.
