His salary was guaranteed this past Tuesday by still being on roster

I think Todd is wrong

I pretty sure Mickie on “Talking Cowboys” podcast said his contract was guaranteed last Tues (the first day of week 1 of the regular season).

This tells me how much Dallas values Morris and it possibly secures Morris later in the season to return, of it dosent guarantee it bc he could sign elsewhere. But, Morris lives in Dallas with his family.. so I would imagine Morris would love to be able to sign back with the team if needed.

Alfred's at a point where he's admired more as a man than a player.

That is surely not to denigrate him in any way, whatsoever.

He is great, both as a person and a teammate!

Best of everything in life, Alfred Morris.
Very classy post, and I agree.

He's not going anywhere. Alfred's 2019 salary was guaranteed by virtue of being on the roster Tuesday COB.
His family is in Dallas, Alfred's a Professional. He ne close by in football shape

Hope he gets picked up somewhere. He is a good guy and not a bad player. I thought maybe with the rookies foot injury maybe we keep him.

If he isn’t vested, does he get a per diet for practice?

Some labor would be violated if he worked for free?

This makes me happy. It gives me hope that the Cowboys will make more consistently business related decisions rather than feelings.

Witten is most likely one of those guys. Maybe Lee as well. We will see.
Given our young TE’s have a hard time staying on the field and not injured we should be happy to have Witten right now.

He is a very humble mature old school guy .his value goes beyond football.
with all the money he has he still drive a used old car that he purchased from his pastor for $2.

Tuesday was the deadline for being on the roster. He’s guaranteed.
I'm a little confused, then. When I was listening to NFL Radio this week, there was a sense of urgency by the broadcaster (Pat K) for the Raiders to cut bait with AB before the 1st game of the season to void his guarantees because he wouldn't be on the week one roster. There was no mention of "It's too late, we're past Tuesday".

Not suprising, but he is one of the truly good guys in the NFL.
I like Alfred Morris. You're right he's one of the good guys in this league. I'm not a huge fan of his production or the fact that he's not a real home run threat at any time but, he rarely misses an assignment and, though he's not a spectacular talent, he typically churns out positive yardage.

I hope he re-joins the team if for nothing more than an example to some of the young guys of how to be a pro.

Tuesday was the deadline for being on the roster. He’s guaranteed.

Adam Wells reported in his article that the Morris contract would have been guaranteed if he was still on the roster at the end of today.

Edit - I see that information actually came from Todd Archer.
