AB refused to wear the league mandated helmet, he posted his fine letter, he posted phone conversation with Gruden, he froze his feet, he whined his way out of Pittsburgh and 30 team refused to sign him. Patriots are scum for doing so and I hope all hell falls down on them.

I don’t see how signing AB makes the Patriots scum. It’s been well documented that the Patriots take shots on troubled players.

And despite ABs problems, I don’t think he’s scum. I think he’s a freaking psychopath, or his concussions are taking a toll on his mental health.
He’s a scum because of how he treated both the Steelers and the Raiders and how he’s going to treat the Patriots. They were scum to sign him and I hope he craps all over them like he has every team he’s played on.

I got no use for the Pats but, with or without AB, they’re the defending SB champs. The difference between NE and either the Steelers or Raiders is, they aren’t as likely to allow him to become a distraction.

My guess is that, if AB even so much as looks sideways at Belichick, the Pats will put him on the street, eat the $9mil guarantee and never look back. And they’ll STILL be the defending champs.

You make it sound like eating the 9 mill is an easy thing.

Can’t call the Pats scum. As other posters have said the Pats take chances on players like this. What AB did to the Raiders was wrong but as they say one mans trash is another mans gold. The Cowboys also take chances on players like AB but I am glad they didn’t this time. If it works out for the Pats than good for them. Sometimes you have to take risks to get the reward.

So signing a player "with issues" makes the Patriots scum? What a case of sour grapes

its not like the Patriots have never signed guys with bad attitudes before.. want a list?

or any other team in the league, for that matter, including the cowboys... happens all the time, so get real man... no one got hurt... its football, not adult day care

Is there proof that 30 teams refused to sign him? Maybe a couple of teams wanted to sign him, but didn't really have the cap space. Maybe a couple of more wanted him, but when they called his agent it just went to voice mail. I can envision Drew Rosenhaus not wanting to take calls from the Arizona Cardinals.

Patriots play three dimensional chess, rest of the League playing with Weeble Wobbles.

Didn't you guys sign a guy who showed his girlfriend his assault rifle collection and asked her which one she wanted to be killed with? And you did it like 3 months after his court case? Compared to that, AB is just whiny

For you Pat’s haters you are looking at this all wrong. Brady now has two legitimate tier 1 receivers. If his age and arm get the best of him, and he consistently fails to connect, this would be his demise. He’s quoted saying when he fails to perform at a championship level, he’ll retire.

So the pressure in on a 42 yo QB with six rings to his credit.

I would NOT however bet against him.
