If you're surprised, you were never really paying attention in the first place.

He'll be Dallas' next head coach since there's a trend in today's NFL to hire young HCs....

Either Dak has been working on the deep ball and they felt more comfortable going with it this game or Dak has had the ability and it’s been leashed. Because deep and medium passes were excellent today. Maybe it’s because Gallup has developed.
I was one of Daks biggest detractors and he played very well, his accuracy looked better his passing crispness looked better. He looked very decisive and placement was excellent, he had a few "bad" passes but most qbs will. He looked like he knew where he wanted to go and went there. Only a couple of plays where he had find someone did he seem a little jittery.

People need to tap the brakes slightly. It was a good debut, but you you need to remember something important.

2016 - why was it successful for Dak and Zeke? Because the rest of the NFL didn't have any game film on them. Its the same for Moore. He's probably going to get some early success, and today was proof of that, but not a single DC in the NFL had any film on his plays, tendencies, etc until today. Once they get more and can game plan better the results have a good chance of changing.

This isn't a dig on KM because he did have a good game today. But unless he has a different play book for each game this season, opposing DC's are going to catch on. Its just part of the game.

You do have a point because JG looked great as OC for the first half of 2007 and look how that all turned out. Just have to wait and see. a great beginning though.

The though experiment I had in the offseason was, what if Moore blows up all year and we do awesome (let's say SB win or loss). Moore is offered a HC position elsewhere. Do we resign Garrett? Fire Garrett and promote Moore? Weird situation for a make or break management year.

The FACT thAT they dictated tempo and wasn't so blah was the best thing....the motion and action with that talent on offense is really gonna keep most defenses on their toes and I like dak running 2 or 3 times per game..keeps the defense really honest..time to perfect it now but a good start.

On the flip side......

Maybe we have a coordinator now who gameplans to a teams weakness week to week. Maybe they go more run heavy against weak run defenses.....run to set up the pass next time. He attacked that weak secondary today to set up the run.

We do need a larger sample size but this was a great start. I think Kellen is smart enough to not let tendencies hang around too long.

I did not know what to expect but I am pleasantly surprised.

I do not think it's a fluke, he may be the real deal at oc.

I hope he is. People thought JG was the real deal back in 2007. So I do as I always do, take the cautious approach of wait and see.

Kellen Moore did a fantastic job tonight, especially in trusting his QB and not calling a predictable offense and running Zeke right into the arms of a waiting defense over and over.
