The Giants had to make big plays really early just to keep up with us. I dont care about giving up big running plays as long as they keep the passing game in check and keeping the opposing team out of the endzone. And thats what they did.

However the DL looked bad. But we will get better there. DLaw is still not 100%and Crawford wont do it at RDE.

We have had a top run defense not because it was good defense it was because they faced the least amount of carries agaijst them

Yes I understand that. But put that aside we we're still so much better had to be. I think we paused stop the run and then attacked the quarterback that was the scheme. Something changed I liked Crawford in the middle. I know I'll get slam for that but he was a solid run stopper. At least then

Y'all need to put some respect on Rod's name. Every single season that he has been in Dallas we have improved. No reason to not believe that will not be the case this season based on 1 game.

Crawford got doubled by the TE and T. They even drew the double team on the screen at 0:22. Most guys are gonna lose that one.

LVE is the guy who blew it. He was uncovered, picked the wrong gap, and disappeared.

When Crawford plays defensive end he makes errors like a young pop warner player, sucking himself inside etc. You learn at the pee wee level not to do that as a defensive end. He's not an end and he's not very good at anything. He stinks at run support and he doesn't pressure the passer. He's way way over rated and way over paid. He's a 1.5 mill dollar backup tackle getting paid 10 mil and playing starting defensive end. Yikes Mr. Marinelli

You know! I dont understand the front office. Greg William's was available in the off season and he would bring attitude and aggressiveness to this defense. Now he is with the Jets and they had a great defensive effort yesterday but their pathetic offense let them down.

8 plays, 85 yards, TD

The Jets defense gagged in the 4th quarter.

ok guys slow your role.. its ironic every time we have a bad defensive game its on RM and good, its KR..

they both call plays,

RM is DC heavy hand in overall game plan and coaches the front LB/DL and KR is the Passing game coordinator..

they both failed other then Goal line and keeping points down.. the WR/TE of the giants tore open this DB set and the run game tore open the dline..

they both did not get the most out of their players at home first game..
if you think removing RM automatically makes the defense play differently yesterday , you do not understand how the coaching is broken up game week and game day.. they all have to take responsibility for the poor performance,,

Yeah, some teams are going with a Cover 8 look, which mans only 3 down linemen.

Last night they discussed te Patriots "dollar" defensive package.

Nickel = 5th DB (usually 4 DL, 2 LB, and 5 DB)
Dime = 6th DB (usually 4 DL, 1 LB, and 6 DB)
Dollar = 7 DB (usually 3 DL, 1 LB, and 7 DB but can also be 3 DL and 8 DB)

What is confusing about this line of phrasing is that "Quarters" is also used but that's a coverage scheme (Cover 4).

There is only ONE boss on the defense.

If there are two, then we have bigger problems.
