After yesterday's performance, I am going to celebrate the success, but not EXAGGERATE OR JUMP TO CONCLUSIONS.

There were a ton of positives from yesterday, as well as several things that need to be improved. I am optimistic about Moore and Dak, but let's keep it rolling and maintain realistic expectations. Division games are not really good litmus tests. When we play New Orleans, Green Bay and New England, we will know where we stand.

This is where I'm at, JG tore it up in his first season as oc. Now we'll have to see how Moore counters after dc adjust to his play calling. The thing that's I was most impressed with is how Dak attacked the defense in the deep middle of the field, in past years he avoided that area but exploited it yesterday.

Feel the same about the defense coordinator, it’s time for a change already...

Does it make you anti-Linehan even more than you were before the game? Knowing how much talent is/was on this roster and it was just wasted away. I hate seeing careers being wasted by a coach who has no idea as to how to utilize the talent that surrounds him. Yes, it's only one game but you'd have to be an idiot not to see what this team could have been. Nevertheless, at least said coordinator is gone and today seems to be 'different' from Mondays of years past, following a W, and this makes it a great day to be a 'boys fan. :star:

I did not even think about Linehan yesterday. I was just enjoying the improved offense.

No point looking back and thinking what was lost under Linehan, we all knew he was no good...
Today was the start of a new era and it’s off to a perfect start, there’ll be tougher days this season, but there seems a real good buz around this team right now.

Wasted a ton of good years with archaic systems, its frustrating to look back

Did we though? In 2016 our offense was fine and out defense did us in in the playoffs. At most you could say he did in 2017 and 2018, but even then it was the defense in the playoffs that really got us beat.

we showed great team chemistry offensively. THAT SAID, the Gents D is woeful. Love the fact Dak executed and took advantage.
The Giants D made Zeke look like a fool. The kid looked like UDFA jag.

If it makes you feel better. Romo still wouldn't have won a SB with Kellen Moore

I loved what Moore was doing yesterday - taking what the Giants would give and pressing the passing game against an obvious weak pass defense. But its also only one game. Let's see where they are after 4 games.

Exactly. He exploited the Giants weaknesses rather than just running the same stuff no matter the situation. He didn't predictably hand the ball off every first down. His play calling kept the Giants off balance all game.

Yea I think when you have coordinators who can’t adjust or refuse to adjust it’s always going to be a negative with any roster. Linnehan and JG both held this offense back for years

Not me. I hope no one gets close to him all year. :)
Our pass blocking was impressive yesterday.

Some seem disappointed we didn't do this against a better team. I am fine with a couple cupcakes in the early going to get our grove. We have plenty of top teams coming our way soon enough.

The jury is still out on Moore

Yes he looked impressive but he’s gotta do it week in and week out

LOL. Remember when Garrett was bringing Linehan back until Jerry told him later that day his buddy was fired?

Now if Kellen can consistently do just this with every team on our schedule(exploit teams weaknesses)and keep them off balance, @atlantacowboy the Cowboys will be tough to deal with this year.

Although I am very happy with how the team played, I expect better as the competition gets better.

We lacked a pass rush on D the entire game. Would like to see more blitzes and pressure in the games to come.

We also established no running game, the key to success will be a balanced attack. Zeke was limited due to holdout. I expect this to be corrected in games to come.

As long as we do not become too predictable, we will be good. Very good

Keep spreading the ball around and keep teams on their heels.

Gallup\Cobb are going to have a monster years if opposition tries to continue to double Cooper. The Cowboys have the potential to have 3 1000+ yard receivers this season. Something I cannot remember the last time they had such if any.

Of course, all this optimism is predicated on yesterday not being a fluke. If it was just Dak having a good game in Linehans offense, i'd be more hesitant. But, Moore has really opened up the offense and given it some creative wrinkles. How many times last year were we able to guess what was coming next on offense? Practically all season you knew Zeke was getting the ball on first down. Garret's offensive philosophy is essentially that if everyone does their job, it won't matter what the defense is doing.....ala the early 90's team. Linehan was just calling plays from the Garret playbook. Moore has turned the playbook upside down and re-written it. Will it be as effective against every team , probably not. Much like Garret in 2007, teams didn't know what was coming but eventually had enough tape to adapt. I'm just enjoying the ride right now and hoping Moore is smarter than Garret.
