Jon Allen is quite a talent that could be utilized better in a 4-3 vs a 2 gap 3-4. He could be having more of a Fletcher Cox impact than what he is now in that scheme, imo.
the guy who gives us the most issues among Skins defenders is Ryan Kerrigan, who is among the most productive sack masters in today's era.

Honestly, as good as the Cowboys are and as bad as the Commanders are, I don't think anyone will make up excuses when we crush them... Regardless of who is or isn't on the field for them.

I believe Commanders were up 17-0 against Philly before losing. They're not that bad. They will be tougher than the Giants, with or without Allen.

Of course "any given Sunday" rule always applies... especially for division rivals. With that said if we play this game 20 times with all of their players available we will win 18 of those... So losing Allen or any one else doesn't give them any excuses for losing IMHO.

Don’t agree
I don’t care about excuses
I want wins period
I've never been one to ask others to agree with me. You either understand were football fits in the salad of life or you do not. In the case of the latter, you place too much importance on football and not enough value on the welfare of others.

“Welfare of others”?

My post was in English so nay gone over your head. Ask your grand kids to explain the meaning to you before responding

Thx in advance

I don't feel the least bit sorry for an NFL player who hurts a knee and has to miss a few games while making huge sums of cash. They signed up for this life. It's not like he's never going to walk again. Do I feel bad for a guy like Ryan Shazier? Absolutely. But knee injuries happen every week and guys make complete recoveries. I'm glad that Allen isn't likely to play this week. We will have plenty of dogfights this season, so if his injury makes the Commanders a little weaker, I'm ok with it.

Do you not understand these players are human beings? Even the ones on the other team. Jonathan Allen not being well enough to answer the bell is a bad thing whether you root for the team he plays for or not. When you need your opponent diminished by pregame injury to secure the victory over him, the victory is not worth attaining. It means very little to conquer the weakened competition. It's much better to get a win over a healthy opponent.

I mean this when I say, I don't like this. I want a perfectly healthy team to play against on Sunday. I don't want to hear any excuses when the Cowboys decimates these guys.
I could give a spit about the next opponent up being totally healthy,, means nothing.

"complete recovery"? Those knee injuries are cumulative and are eventually not completely recoverable. You must have two good knees to not understand how debilitating living with bad knees is, not that I expect your cold heart to express any compassion.

This is probably the most idiotic fan jargon in sports. “I want the opponent of my team at full strength”, no you don’t. You want your team to win. Besides, to get where you want to go you have to win in the playoffs and generally playoff teams are among the healthier teams (this why they made the playoffs). Eventually all SB caliber teams have to beat multiple good, relatively healthy teams and prove themselves. You take as many “easy” wins over hamstrung teams as you can get though.
Not I, I get little satisfaction after beating a team decimated with injuries. Beating a Tom Bradyless Patriots? C’mon, that may be part of the game but that’s weak IMO and isn’t nearly the same as beating them with Tom.

I understand no team will be injury free but in an ideal world I would rather have both teams at full strength and if we lose than so be it.

So you hope for players on other teams to get injured?

it should be mentioned that our starting rg, zack martin was not 100%. injuries are a way of life in the nfl. at the end of the season, all that matters is the record when determining who advances to the playoffs and who watches from the couch. by the way, our pro bowl cb did not play. Robert quinn did not play. and how did we ever survive with taco on the sidelines.

So if the Patriots has beaten the Eagles in the SB because Wentz was out that SHOULD HAVE meant very little to Eagles fans?

Do you know if any opposing players have been hurt and not playing in the SBs cowboys have won? I doubt there was a single SB where ALL the other teams starters played. So, did those SBs “mean very little” to you?

Laughable idea

You play who is in front of you
