Not going to oversell this but my goodness hes really improved. Even on his incompletions he was hitting receivers in their hands. 2 Drops by Cooper and Zeke/Gallop dropped one each. He is setting his feet, taking his time and throwing absolute darts. The pass he hit Cobb was so on the money even if a defender was trailing him it would still be an unstoppable catch. This man has worked hard this off-season and its showing. The Brinks truck was already on the way...but he's making it heavier by betting on himself. Glad he's my QB.

Most all his passes were in the WR wheelhouse. Was throwing very catchable balls. And dropping some dimes right in the bucket. A few were posting yesterday because the balls weren’t right on. I watched football all day yesterday and saw every QB throwing the same. Sometimes we expect to much perfection from our team. I am one of them during the game. We miss one pass and I think the game is over and we are going to lose. Lol.

Very impressed on Dak's poise and accuracy.

With play calling and distribution of catches like yesterday, Dak will have a monster season. Pair that with the running game, the Cowboys offense will be unstoppable.

The best part is I saw a team that's not dependent on Zeke to run for 100 plus yards to win. What makes this team so tough now is we can beat you running...we can beat you passing. I expect the Commanders to try and crowd the middle of the field and drop their LB's into a zone. Dak was passing within 4 seconds. Zeke is going to see a Lot of space next week. Thank God for Moore...Pizza Guy is the Man.

What gets overblown is Dak's "innaccuracy". What sticks out is him missing wide open guys.. that creates a narrative that he is innaccurate. He has a tendency to lose his mind when someone is wide open ..see the Jarwin TD. Last year he fires that into the ground. This year...he awkwardly shot put it to him haha.

You don't lead the NFL in completion percentage the 2nd half of last year and be innaccurate .

He had a few throws behind receivers where the receivers did a great job adjusting to make the catch and could have made better throws downfield to Jarwin and Cooper (who would have raced for a TD if Dak had led him), but he also had some great throws both in traffic and downfield (deep pass to Gallup; TD to Cooper). He had a great game, and I would take a performance like that every time. I'm just not into being hyperbolic.

More than the physical, he delivered the ball earlier and with more anticipation than he ever Has. That's the biggest difference I think.
this is true, his anticipation was spot on yesterday.

Dak played little during the preseason, really, I would expect a few throws to be a little off, no we shouldn't expect 158.3 passer rating every game, but he'll still miss open receivers, every quarterback does. Watched the first half of the Pats game last night with my son, a big Brady fan, and even a 19 year vet missed some throws.

One game, enjoy the win, but there's a long way to go....

A perfect Quarter Back Rating while making every throw a QB can possibly make. No doubt that he will still get over analyzed but at least he gets a break this week.

Yes... thanks for noting Kitna's influence. There is a nice synergy happening this year: Dak more focused than ever to get better, new/young/hungry OC that is innovating and unleashing the potential of the offense, and a new mentor/voice at QB coach that is refining the mechanics and mindset of the QB.

Can't expect perfection every week for sure--- but exhibit A shows that the ceiling is high for this offense.

Other than his pass in the ground on the 1st series, he was pretty dang accurate.
Even that pass I need to look at again to see what happened.

Yeah, he just looked way smoother throwing and more decisive with the ball. His reads were faster and he was more confident in them.

People somehow forget that speed of making reads/progressions and throwing mechanics are learned skills that can improve with training and practice, and are also huge parts of evolving into a top pro passer.

I really think on that pass that when he saw Jarwin so wide open, he threw the ball before he was really ready. It was like, "Oh, wow, look how open he is. Here, take it!" It was one of those where you want to make sure you don't overthrow it because the TD is a sure thing if you can't just get it out there.

The first 10 passes or so were interesting because most of them were at least slightly behind the receiver so he had to reach back a little or turn, but they were all still close enough to be catchable. That's probably really more timing than accuracy though. But as the game went on, that disappeared and he was hitting people in stride.

I love the more vertical and over the middle routes we saw yesterday. That seemed very absent in past years, and yesterday showed that it wasn't because of Dak not being able to make those throws (as some detractors have suggested in the past).

100% agree. The game has slowed down for him, and you can see it by the way he is progressing through his reads and delivering the ball with perfect timing. The strike to Gallup in stride on the slant is the prime example IMO... That was not his first read-- he looked to his right and came back, fired, and the throw was right on the money.

Big time, NFL caliber throw right there. You can also tell he and Gallup have really worked on their chemistry. Nice feel for each other the whole game. Cooper is obviously the biggest threat, but Gallup is poised to take advantage of the chances and looks he gets. Been a long time since we have had a #2 WR that can consistently destroy coverage like this.
