Cobb has been banged up the last few years. Before that, he was one of Aaron Rodgers' favorite targets. If he can stay healthy, he's still a huge threat.
Rodgers sure missed him opening night His receivers were garbage. Right now the Packers would trade a 2nd rounder for him lol...Cobb has been banged up the last few years. Before that, he was one of Aaron Rodgers' favorite targets. If he can stay healthy, he's still a huge threat.
Cole Beasley 5 receptions, 40 yards, long of 10.
Randall Cobb 4 receptions, 56 yards, long of 25 for a TD.
I'm liking the trade-off at this moment.
that's a fair take. Lets see if he remains healthy...THEN lets see what he does week to week against better teams. I liked what I seen from him tho.I liked Cobb a lot, and actually liked the signing for Dallas. But I don't buy into the idea that he's an upgrade in the slot for Beasley or a better player at this point in his career (just look at the contracts the two guys got). I do think he's a better fit for what we needed, and I was pleasantly surprised by him. I also think that, if he goes down with a hammy after week four, we'll have guys in Tavon Austin and Pollard that can do some of the things he's likely to do for us.
He looked impressive yesterday, though, for sure. Glad to have him.
good points...talent still wins in this league...lets hope the coaching is up to snuff. So far,it is.Cobb for Beasley
Witten for Swaim
Fred for Looney
Pollard for Rod
2nd year Gallup
Obviously the coaching is huge but the offensive roster upgrades have been ignored for Dak and contract issues all offseason.
He is a scrapper - not just a good route runner. Love it!No surprise here at all, Cobb is a playmaker and great route runner and after the catch.
The only issue lately was health but he is looking excellent and healthy right now.
This WR group is going to trouble Defensive coordinators, Cobb will be a huge part of that this season!
I smell a break out game by Pollard this week. Pollard gonna be a playmaker this week. I can sense it.
exactly. That's why I think they did that...didn't wanna give the skins anything on him prior to the game. Hes going to at least have 1 TD this week. They were intentionally running him between the tackles this week. You know using him in the downfield passing game and screen game is coming.

I'll say it again. If his legs remain healthy, it's a no-contest. Not even close. The numbers don't matter. He adds a new dimension to the passing offense.
He was not the same player last season due to leg injuries.
A very fortunate find by the FO. Some of their injury prone FAs have been paying off. Devin Smith too. Hope they stay healthy!Yep. People seem to forget that Cobb used to lead the league in targets before the injury bug bit him. When healthy, the difference between Cobb and Beasley is not even close.
I, for one, was happy we got him. What luck!I called the Cobb signing before he signed and I remember some of you debating me on him. Now y'all like him after the first game....... Guess it's better y'all late than never
I disagree, contracts most never tell the story of who is better. Cobb is by far better than Beasley and it's not even close. Not just as a receiver but return game as well.I liked Cobb a lot, and actually liked the signing for Dallas.
