The entire scheme yesterday was to use Zeke as a decoy and make the Giants pay for trying to stop the run.

I’m ok with that.

I wonder how many weeks before teams start playing back on their heels and daring Zeke and the OL to beat them?

I’m ok with that too.

Zeke is not going to have nearly as many yards this year. But he will definitely have to earn his salary in some games and during a handful of critical moments.

I’m looking forward to seeing him do it.

Maybe...

I think if Dak keeps hitting big plays then teams will be happy to let Zeke run on them.

Defenses tend to want to give you the small play and not the big play.

That game was schemed without EzE......Moore didn't expect him on the team, when the game plan was devised.

While I have said all along that Kellen's offense will be more pass heavy, I think it's a bit too early to judge Elliott's participation on one game where the team likely was limiting his carries to ease him back into things after missing training camp and preseason.

I think if the game had been close or the Cowboys were behind, we would have seen a lot more of Elliott.

More like the $7.5M decoy, which is the signing bonus Zeke got for coming back.

I don’t think any nfl team realistically wants you to run all over them. If Moore can call plays that constantly keeps the defense off balance then it will be a prolific season for everyone.

If teams only keep 6-7 in the box with no run blitzes then we are going to march down their throats with 10 minute TD drives. That’s one thing the offense could do even when it was crap early last year.

If I’m a defense I still want Dak to beat you’ve because the Cowboys running game will beat you.

Pick your poison, but if I were a D coach I’d stop the run first.

Thats the risk teams take and they will hope they can hold you to a field goal or the Zebra's spot a hold or something.

There is a lot of ways to mess up as opposed to scoring off 1 big play.

It's good for the Cowboys either way because we're clearly built to run.

If teams are willing to let Zeke run...then I feel very sorry for them. I get it, fans are sensitive. They have agendas yada yada. Get past the feelings Zeke gave you in August and you will realize how screwed NFL teams will be if they quit trying to stop Zeke. He only carried the ball a few times yesterday but the dude is just hard to stop. Unfortunately, for us, defensive coordinators still respect Zeke a lot more then our uneducated fan base. We are in an amazing position if Dak keeps playing like he did yesterday and Moore keeps calling plays like he did. Instead of low key throwing Zeke under the bus, I'd suggest being very happy with our situation. It's more fun. Trust me.

Cowboys went into this game stating that Zeke snaps would be limited, He had 13 carries on the game and a reception. Still managed 4.1 a carry and a TD. Zeke also had some nice pickup on blitz. I fully expect his role will increase

Well in all honesty Zeke was rusty, his blitz pickups weren’t great. He dropped a first down past and he looked sluggish. But, no surprise really.

I suspect this will depend on the savvy of the OC to diagnose what the defense is doing and using his pieces to counteract that.

The cherry on the sundae is the fact the team has quality in both the passing game and the running game. As defensive coordinators maneuver their pieces to stop the offensive point of attack, Moore simply exploits the weakness created.

This isd a very good problem to have.

Agree but he had a nice block on Coopers deep pass over the middle.

Being able to run the ball wears teams down physically and mentally that’s why all teams make it a priority to stop the run.

He also had a blitz pickup that allowed one of the TD throws by Dak. I agree it was nothing special over all but given the plan heading into the game on Zeke of limiting his snaps he went out and did his job. He was back with the team Wed. so not much work with the team.
