I'm not the type to get too hyped over a win in week 1. But say we do go all the way and win the Super Bowl. Which coach is gone? I don't mean fired, I mean gets picked up for a head coaching gig. Obviously JJ would want to keep Garrett, I mean he has stuck with him this long and it would be like a "I told you so" to him. But what if someone comes knocking and offers him a GM/HC gig? You got to remember, his contracyt is up after this season. Richards? Really surprised he was never offered a HCing job as of yet. OR Kellen Moore. Will a team jump at a chance if he wins a SB as a 1st year OC? You have to take into account his age, if he was offered a HCing job he would be the youngest HC in the history of the NFL.

My best guess would be Richards. Still young but not a pup and he is a really good coach.

Fans like seeing tons of points and quick strike offenses. I feel like KMO would likely get some offers. I think of the coaches we have Richard would be the better choice at this time because he has a ton more experience, but folks like race cars not station wagons.

Marinelli retires, Richard promoted to DC. That is Def. Coord., not Washington DC after Gruden is fired. :muttley:

Jerry pays all the coaches a premium to stay on.

Well, the defense better start playing better than this. Sunday, the Rams, the Giants last year, Indianapolis, Tennessee......there is a growing cause for concern.

Garrett will be moved from HC to GM.
Moore will be moved from OC to HC.
Richard will be moved to DC.
Marineli will retire.

This is how the sands of time will be good to the Cowboys and preserve the Dynasty coming. If Jerry is smart enough to make it happen.

Naming Garrett the GM would be a huge slap in the face to the man who actually built this team in Will McClay.

McClay > Garrett

Let Garrett walk regardless. He’s terrible.. The more hands off he is the better we get.

I have mixed feelings about Garrett. This year will be the deciding factor though on whether we should keep him or not. The team is stacked with talent so if we don't get at least a playoff win then I believe Garrett should be gone.

Let’s wait until the playoffs to start threads like these. A lot can happen over the next 16 weeks.

None. Jerry will pay them all like head coaches to make sure they stay. There is no coaching salary cap and Jerry Jones has always be willing to pay big bucks to get the best product on the field where he can.

Useless speculation. The better question is, if Dallas does not make it to the NFCC game, does Jerry fire Garrett?

This is a joke right? It has to be, otherwise, lay off the crack pipe.

Disagree if you will but lay off the wisecracks just because someone has a different opinion. Expressing various opinions is what makes this forum interesting and I bet the mods here don't appreciate you trying to discourage a post outside the box. I don't think it's even that outside the box. I've seen more than a couple of posters that have the same view.

Oh, well I humbly apologize. Forgot it's 2019.

Completely disagree with your original post though. Fair enough?

Said this in the other thread, but this was a problem created on the day that Moore was hired. It's not overzealous to be talking about it right now.

I find this entertaining. Before the season started Garrett needed to get this team to the NFC Championship game to save his job but now if we win the SB he needs to go regardless. Moore after 1 game will become HC. I don't know what Garrett future will be but I highly doubt that they fire the HC after winning a SB. As for GM McCray has done a great job and he is not the GM, GM position is what it is and is not going to change.
