Here are some varied notes about the Skins game, the situation with various players, the team mood, etc.

And I Provide ALERTS.

-As previously reported Wash. lead back Derrius Guice will be out. This will be a repeat of last year where he was injured and Peterson started in his absence.

-Also as you may have heard stud DT Jonathan Allen is almost certain to miss the game. (MCL) This former first rounder is nasty. Connor Williams can breathe a huge sigh of relief.

-There is a chance 7-time all-pro tackle Trent Richardson will return from contractual hold-out to play on Sunday. The Eagles dodged having to face him. But...a teammate described his return as 50-50.

-Some players were pissed/outspoken that Adrian Peterson didn't dress game one. Players don't seem to respect their head coach. I was amazed at how vocal they were.

-Skins-folk are high are on their receiver Terry McLaurin. He was a third round pick and splashed for a home-run and 4 other catches...125 yards in his very first game. McLaurin also had beat the defense by 5 yards and if it weren't for an overthrow...he would have had ANOTHER 75 yards and another TD. The guy would have had 200 yards in his debut! ALERT.

***DOUBLE ALERT. DO NOT SLEEP ON 4.35 OFFICIAL NFL COMBINE SPEED. MCLAURIN IS HIGH-RISK***

Personally I think Jay Gruden is the most hard luck HC in the NFL. His teams always come to play. Has had zero luck with QBs since he got to Washington and as an offensive guy that has to be a problem. Still I see Washington as a really well coached team and always dangerous. This week is far from a layup.

For those of you thinking we have no worries for this game watch this guy run at combine. Again I say: ALERT. A QB overthrow away from 200 yard debut game. This is speed, and a raw talent busting out for Skins.

Am I exaggerating that he was five yard past the defense. The pass that would have given him 200 yards:

Gruden is a good coach, in an insane situation. I worry about the Skins game. We're a better team, but the Skins have a lot of good players themselves, and it's always a dogfight with them. Jonathan Allen being out is a gift, though.

Whoever sent you those alerts I think meant Trent WILLIAMS. Whoopsies...Richardson would have probably been a better LT than RB haha. Thanks for the info though. I think this will be a much tougher game for us than Mara and his merry scrubs.

Zeke & our run game should be back to top form. Hopefully we use Pollard more in this game.

I'm not sure what Philly did in the 2nd half, but we'll probably do similar on defense.

Also, based on how Philly absolutely scorched them in the 2nd half, I think Moore has already watched that tape and fixin' up the gameplan for this week. His week 1 gameplan looked a lot more like Pederson than Linehan.

Should be interesting.

I watched that whole game pretty much. McLaurin was very good, he made a really nice contested catch over Ronald Darby. You make a good point- if he wasn’t overthrown in that play he would probably be one of the most talked about players in the league this week.

Washington has some talent. Chris Thompson is back to his old self it seems. Trey Quinn is okay. McLaurin is very good. Vernon Davis is good. Keenum isn’t afraid to throw it deep. Just the fact that they were up 17-0 on a very good Philly Team should get us ready.

Hopefully we keep up with this new offense!
