Hopefully soon though.

It benefits both parties: Dak removes the risk of playing without a long-term deal, and Jerry locks Dak up before his price goes even higher.

I have to say that I'm still shocked that a deal hasn't been reached yet. I thought for sure the player and agent would have wanted something done before that week one game risking injury. But I've read that he has a $50 million insurance policy so I guess they're not sweating it.

If you don't make the unnecessary first comment you never have to backtrack from it.

Ol' Jerry just can't help himself. :muttley:

I'm sure that Dak is now asking for way more than Jerry wants to pay. Dak has the leverage. Jerry will reset the market now no matter what he said earlier.

Goff and Wentz both had more guaranteed money from their 5th year options on the table based on where they were drafted. Dak doesn’t have any of that, so it’s probably matching the guarantees that’s been the sticking point here. I’m sure the other parameters are all established.

I would rather have about 120 million guaranteed than a 50 million insurance policy.

I've heard that it was about the years and the length of the contract.

It would of been classic if Jerry would've said "Dak who?"

I think Dak should sit, the precedent has already been set. Sit and get what you want. Dak would have his 40-45 million dollar contract by Fri night.

Mr Prescott, Come on down and take a seat! You can borrow Zeke’s chair since he’s not using it anymore. Better yet, show Jerry you’re not screwing around and fly out of the country. He’ll have his private jet tailing you with the contract in hand.
