They should though. If at this point, he hasn't surpassed Crawford, and was passed by Dorance, then he does need to be traded. Otherwise, he'll be released and we'll get nothing when we can activate Quinn

We could probably use him next year, but hard to see him making the rotation this year. If we can get a trade, we should probably take it. But it still depends mainly on their evaluation of him. Can't throw away a DE if you think he has real upside. And they once thought that. I don't know if that window has closed in their minds yet, and they now think he's just a guy. If just a guy, we should move on.

But I have been told numerous times, right here on this very objective forum, that we are out-drafting the rest of the league.

I'm so conflicted right now.

Drafting well doesn't mean never making a bad draft pick. Overall, the Cowboys have drafted very well for some time. There are only a few of the guys that see regular playing time that were not drafted by the Cowboys

Garrett wants to take Kellen Moore's credit .

Not surprisingly .

Host: "we talked all offseason how the cowboys offense looked so different with kellen moore ..."

Garrett: "Yeah, again its a very collaborative effort ... this is something we wanted to do philosophically. "

Philosophically ? ... lol
Collaborative effort.

Jason: Hey Kellen

Kellen: yeah

Jason: figure out how to make this offense better

Kellen:eek:k

Collaborative indeed!!!!

If they were trading Charlton it should be done by now. If the best DAL can get is a 5th for him, imo, might as well keep him unless it's a character issue...in that case he should've been traded, again.

I'm actually in favor of playing Charlton in the hopes we all can move past seeing #98 line up at DE. But, it's early.

I don't think the Cowboys could get more than a late round pick and maybe a developmental player for Taco at this point.

It's a waste of a first round pick. At least any Taco compensation means they get the pick they traded to Miami for Quinn "back".

Watt cant play DE. Even in the 3-4 he is really wide to give him space so the T doesnt get his hands on him

That's true, but Watt is about the same size the Cowboys listed Randy Gregory at (6'5, 245).

Even if you only use Watt on 3rd and long you're getting more from him than Dallas got out of Taco. :(

For some reason I can't play it on my computer. I was listening to the interview on the radio on the way home. Nothing earth shattering until the guys asked him about Taco being inactive. The hosts stated they were surprised Taco was inactive due to how he was playing in preseason etc. Garrett kind of paused for a while and then gave a response, can't remember how he worded it, that sounded like Taco's time with Dallas was coming to an end. When the interview ended the hosts of the show both were like Wow! Sounds like Taco is gone. I wish I could play the link or remember exactly what Garrett said but I was driving in my car and Garrett's response caught me off guard.Jason Garrett.

I tried to post pod cast link but it is blocked. You can search 94.5 San Antonio and Jason Garrett.

Remember when this guy nickname out of college was soft taco. Next time maybe don't draft guy in 1st round with that nickname.

Just going out on a limb and guessing you are a window licker.
