Don't agree with him that the Dak run wasn't a read option. You can clearly see Dak reading the linebacker coming down to hit Olawale if he's handed the ball. Dak pulled it out, Olawale turned into a blocker on that linebacker and it turned into a nice gain. I guarantee if the linebacker had rushed straight upfield instead of across toward Olawale that Dak would have handed Olawale the ball.

For sure, I’m absolutely convinced of that and I think it’s a very high percentage. There’s people that still think our O line was trash last year but can’t name me ten teams that were better. There’s people that thought the Giants defense would be good and still think it was all play calling. There’s people that think Zeke is the best (I know that’s debatable) but have barely seen any of the other top RB’s run.

It’s pretty obvious who those people are.

Or I just know a lot about our NFCE rivals and try to watch all of their games. Also have the NFL package and gamble quite a bit so I tend to keep up with most teams in the league...but not all.

Would you like to contradict what I said? It wasn’t meant to be arrogant. I know there’s a lot of people who know football better than I do, I also know by reading posts that there’s a lot of people who live in a Cowboys bubble which is fine, that’s their prerogative, but it shows in their posts because it’s clear they wear blinders and don’t watch many other teams play.

And to answer your fake question, Aria is short for Ariad Pharmaceuticals, a stock I made a decent chunk of change off of years ago.

Whats sad is that there is nothing brilliant about it. Its being done across the league. It only seems like a miracle or bright idea here in Dallas because Garrett was so far behind the times.

And it's stuff Dallas was doing 40 years ago.

No, no.

It does matter.

Dak is one of the people collecting information. So he can make a better pre-snap read, which helps him execute better.
Guess I did not word that exactly right-should have said does not matter unless Dak knows what to do with it-that’s what I meant

All I know is when I've seen a read option (or at least the way we run it) the rb continues on his path as if he had the ball, he doesn't change directions and become a blocker.

He didn't really change directions. He was going to run slightly to the left side anyway. Since he didn't have the ball, he became a blocker. We were keying off the free defender on that play.

Stevie Wonder could see that is was not only the first game, but that it was the giants. What amazes me is how strong the butthurt is with alot of you guys.

You are the ones standing on the back wall at the party.

I'd hate to see some of you all's reaction if you hit the Powerball. Youd probably be pissed all 6 of your numbers matched.

Some of you stiffs need to pop a volume and relax!
"Pop a volume" of what? A copious amount of ?
A dry measure of ?
A double fistful of ?
I'm rather confounded there Sam, help a feller out, will'yao_O

We don't always agree, but yeah, you hit the nail on the head here.

You don't have to always agree.

There's something to that whole being an adult thing.

Hahaha.

What's up, Soupcan?

Everything good on my end. I am happy to see the Cowboys again. It was a sight to see after being trapped with mediocrity playcalling for such a long time!

I hope Kellen and the gang can keep it going. I believe he will adjust good and change it up on a regular.

I say that because Kellen is obsessed with creation. I believe he has plays for days. I dont worry about Kellen, I worry about the players processing so much every week and executing it every week.

I believe alot of our fans dont understand Kellen fully. This guys mind and passion is what you want at the controls.

So you want to see a better offense against the same saints the cowboys beat last season with linehan?

I hope you are not referring to their defense because week one showed that the cowboys offense could be quite a challenge for those fellows.

Maybe you are talking about a shootout? That would be fun. I think we'd hang with them if the offense stays on the level they are on now and higher.

I wouldnt use the saints as a measuring stick. Good offensive but crappy defensive teams dont impress me.

Give me the Patriots and bears as a challenge for Kellen then we can see.

Now the bears dont have that good of an offense but seeing how Kellen would move that bears defense around pre snap would be everything.

How fun would that be ?

I mean if the cowboys have to so be it. I'd hope they come out on top. But I'd rather our defense step in to prevent shootouts while we control the game on offense.

I just believe shootouts would give our defense a bad look. They are too talented to be letting another team go up and down the field on them.

If Dallas won a shootout say 52-48, I'd feel some kind of way about that.

If it wasnt apparent to the few Garrett apologists we have left before, it should be abundantly obvious what a REAL oc and scheme can do for an offense. IT was night and day.

Wait, how does Garrett take the heat here for Linehan’s Stone Age offense yet no credit for Moore’s innovations?

Us “Garrett Apologists” simply believe that he’s a great CEO, meaning he delegates to his staff and doesn’t try to micromanage them. He’s a great motivator and the players clearly play for him.

Garrett is the right coach for this team at the right time, and this is the best staff he has ever had.

So let’s all clap our hands along with him while he gets this team motivated and his coordinators and coaches do their thing.

Apparently being a 'motivator' & a delegator doesn't win the divisional round , with more talent than most teams have in post season .

Thats an easy one. Linehan was running the same tired nonsense that Garrett was. It was cookie cutter Garrett. Actually, Linehan was running a slighly more advanced version of Garretts offense. Linehan was also Garrett's hand picked hire.

Moore's offense, although similar in some plays, is different in all the important ways. Or you could say, Moore is showing Garrett how to actually run his offense and run it better. Moore is the anti Garrett where linehan was basically Garrett squared, doing what Garrett wanted.

Moore has been brought in to retransform our offense into the modern era. Something neither Garrett or his hand picked linehan were capable of.
