Neither running back was able to do much bc of the offensive line was terrible run blocking. Pass blocking was almost perfect, but there’s way too much money and reputation with this line for them to struggle opening holes up for the running game. Washington shut down the running game in the 1st game last year. So not really optimistic about Sunday. There’s no excuses for the line this year, too much talent at the skill positions, they need to perform like they did in Zeke and Daks rookie year for this to be a super bowl team. The offensive line was just as bad as the defensive line against the Rams and they managed to escape blame somehow

I’m all for having a one two punch. You can easily see Zeke has the power that hurts anyone trying to take him down and Pollard is a bit shiftier and quicker making guys look foolish. We can use both in the offense and having defense look at us like “***?”

With that said, many here still have a bad taste when it comes to Zeke and will easily complain with an agenda. Stop anointing Pollard because he hasn’t done squat and making excuses and fictional scenarios. He’s going to show up and have a piece of the pie.

Walter Payton had 8 carries for 0 yards in his first NFL game.

Just sayin'.

Against a putrid Giants defense, he managed 24 yards on 13 carries. He looked every bit the 4th round pick out of his depth.
Pump the breaks on Zeke....for the 4th year in the row he had a below average game in the opener.....

Zeke.....the guy with 2 pro bowls in 3 seasons......... pretty sure Zeke and Pollard are not in comparable situations.

Zeke was never a rookie.....my bad

Zeke was the 4th overall pick in the draft and starred on a national title winning college team. . Pollard was a 4th round pick and back-up at U Of Memphis. . Slightly different expectations and talent, at least to the sane on here. But go on, tell us all how we'd be fine with him filling in for Zeke.

Zeke and Pollard are both on our team. It is not a vs situation here. We want them both to be good for our team. Right? Which includes if Zeke goes down. Pollard is going to be great for us and we should all be happy about that.

And i am not advocating cutting Pollard nor would I compare him to Zeke. The point of this thread is simply to poke fun at all the folks who thought this kid was going to do in a real NFL game what he did in training camp. And we can include Jerry among those who don't have a leg to stand on after week 1. I too hope we see more out of him, b/c he won't be dressed for games if he has a few more outings like sunday and Zeke needs someone to give him a break without killing the offense.

Again even Zeke did not do what he did in preseason and training camp as a rookie.
