He had 1 catch for 8 yards and 0 punt returns. If he misses the next game it is no big deal. We can have Cobb handle the punt returns (I trust him to catch the ball more than Austin anyway) and Devin Smith can get thrown the 1 pass for 8 yards. As long as Cooper, Cobb, and Gallup play I am fine with Austin sitting this week.

I would probably take the opportunity to use Pollard in the jet sweep/fake jet sweep position. Although we used Cobb in that role several times Sunday.

you don't have to take a hard hit to be concussed

And these days if you wake up with a headache, they put you on concussion protocol. Probably everyone on this board would have been placed on concussion protocol at some point based on how cautious the NFL is about concussions now.

Not saying that's a bad thing, just that concussion protocol doesn't mean much as far as actually having a concussion goes.

Love his talent and big-play capabilities, but yeah, as people here have said, he is fragile.

More reps for Devin Smith.

That guy was in on like three plays. He is the must fragile football player that have ever seen. SMDH!
I love Tavon Austin so I won't bag on him here but he said he must of gotten the concussion during blocking. I think I recall one run in which he ran to the right and blocked the guy on the end of the line. Must of been when it happened. If not then I don't know. Hope he gets right and back as I feel that Kellen knows how to use him properly. In the meantime next man up.....Wally Pipped perhaps...We have riches in talent this year and this train waits for noone.

Austin played quite a bit. He was in motion a ton. Defenses respect him way more than our fanbase. He played 36 percent of the offensive snaps

A special, bemused “like” to every sarcastic post that dumps on this fragile, overhyped little flower. What has he contributed, in all the time he’s been here? We got more out of Cooper in one game!

I can't believe the Cowboys secured a roster spot for that fragile ex-Rams player. Cowboys should cut him and bring up Cedrick Wilson from the practice squad, especially since Cedrick truly showed up during the preseason playing at the WR position and returning punts. What has Tavon Austin done?

The Giants were penalized for interfering with him catching the ball on a punt return. Likely got hurt on that play.
