This was really interesting when I watched it in 2015 while I wished Kellen would get a chance to play over Matt Cassell and Brandon Weeden.
It is way more interesting now, with the benefit of hindsight. It's all there!

I'm very happy for Kellen. He wasn't blessed with a strong arm but still managed an incredible college career and got to experience being a NFL player. Along the way, he absorbed an incredible amount of offensive football knowledge and understands how to make a passing game more efficient and effective. He is finally where he belongs and is still young. I hope he remains in Dallas for a very long time. We haven't had anyone approaching the offense the way he does in quite some time. It's refreshing and I feel a sense of relief that we may finally see adjustments being made on an ongoing basis as teams adjust to what we are doing on offense instead of just sticking to the same worn out predictable offense that was easily shutdown and didn't suit out QB anyway.

I spent a good bit of time studying Kellen Moore this off-season. That includes this interview and studying his Boise St. games as well as some stories about him designing plays as a kid.

I think it was an extremely safe bet that he would be a very good NFL Offensive Coordinator.

The only question was when. Would it happen in year 1 or would it take longer.

Saw that video years ago and was struck by his intelligence, football creativity, and humble attitude.

There wasn't even a question of when, really, if you studied hard enough.

If this isn't apparent now, it soon will be.
