hes got you there stash, nothing like those players being back, having more experience, and a few new players..it does help..

BUT like I said in my posts repeatedly , its ONE GAME..we will see about stacked decks and new schemes and all this showering of anointing oil in about 6-8 weeks.. lets play NO on the road in hostile environment against a better coach and a QB waiting for revenge and then GB..i want to see his genius after those games..

Not to sound cliche', but we shall see.

History shows when he's in charge of things, he wins.

I don't have a crystal ball. But I like our chances, given the kind of guy I see.

I know the NFL is full of smart people and all that. I just think Moore is brilliant at this specific thing, plotting, calling and organizing offensive game plans.

He'll be a tough match up, and huge headache, for every defensive coordinator we play this year.

He's not a trendy kinda guy. He brings a whole 'nother ball of wax.

He's causing confusion and miscommunication.

Then we capitalize on confusion and miscommunication.

It's a blast to watch because the we now have the talent to look kind of flashy doing it, when it's really all about scheme, not flash.

Is that while you were defending Linehan and his abysmal playcalling at every turn?

There was no need to defend it once Cooper showed up , was it? There was no reason to defend it after Dak admitted it clicked for him late last year, was it? It's exactly what I've said, once you have players that can execute, it changes perception. Is Dak more aggressive ? Sure, but as he said it clicked, he has the players to be aggressive. You saw that last season vs Giants, you saw it last season vs Rams.

This is how you write a sports article....Excellent piece from Tom Ryle.

===
It was exactly what Cowboys fans hoped for. After an offseason and camp that seemed full of promise for a much more potent and consistent offense, the Dallas Cowboys delivered in spades against the New York Giants. Records were set. The young offensive coordinator looked like he had been toying with defenses for years. The quarterback’s performance was one of his very best in a young career. All the wide receivers balled out. There were no sacks. And even the grizzled old veteran showed there was still some fire in the furnace, even if all the snow has melted off the roof.

Call it an embarrassment of riches. It gave us plenty of fodder to digest. And it raises some questions, in a totally good way: Was this because Kellen Moore was so brilliant in planning and calling the game? Or was it the full house of talent finally showing through?

Chicken? Or the egg?

If you haven’t read my hand yet, let me tell you that I think it is clearly a case where both are equally important in what we saw.

Moore was creative, unpredictable, aggressive, and demonstrated how motion, personnel packages, and alignments can be used to force the defense to show its hand, and then exploit the weak point. He opened the game with a pass out of 12 personnel. The frenetic motion on some plays thoroughly confused the Giants’ secondary. And there was a beautiful example of how Moore is willing to break trends. Bob Sturm of The Athletic had such a great description of the first and ten play from the third quarter that I will quote him rather than try to do it myself.

Some fans can see it and some cant. Some take longer, some never see it until its too obvious.

Moore has an embarrassment of riches just like Dak did. But its abundantly obvious, like with Dak, that he will be great at his job.

And from where I am standing there has a been a stark contrast to the players brought in or resigned and their usage.

Cobb in particular and the way they use him, and the fullback. He was all but dead here. Moore is getting a lot more out of him. Cobb is all over the place. The last slot guy did nothing but complain about how he was used. Moore is focussing more on what Dak is good at and what Dak wants to do. WR's are more fast, versatile, good route runners as opposed to big, strong, blocking types. Goal line jump ball types.

Like I said.........some see things others dont. Its why there are such a wide variety of opinions on players and coaches.

And now he has the scheme, the Oline, and the OC to be aggressive. An offense tailored to his strengths and the strength of the players around him.

He does, because he can now handle it . He has the players to handle it and Moore trusts him. Dak has arrived everyone has talked about it, and he's about to get paid

LOL.........well better late than never I guess. So then you wont be back to claiming he sucks the first bad game or pick?

So based on the fact that he has "arrived" how far does that potential go? Can Dak be elite?

Yeah he was getting the ball out quick and our receivers did the rest.

-He has matured
-He is in an offense that suits him and he is comfortable with
-He finally has great coaching surrounding him
-He has players around him so that he can do his job to the best of his abilities.

Pretty simple equation.

Dak has always had the tools and now he has elite (yes, I said elite) talent at WR and OL. As long as Moore can keep it up, Dak should make those "2016 was his peak" arguments go where they belong.
