Yes, Dak has a new throwing motion -- I've been trying to impress that fact upon some of our fairly belligerent acceptors, thus far! Chris Simms has a pretty good sense of what's going on in the NFL. I respect his opinions, at least to a considerable extent. Kitna has done a yeoman's job with him. I respect that and appreciate it. He's done Dak a favor, I believe.

The guards pulling on the play-action pass was my favorite play during the game. My reaction was the same as the person (Chris Simms) in the video, "Oh shoot"

I love it when a plan comes together. Dallas is being innovative. Decades of fans screaming and the staff finally listened.

Hard counts are great but I would love to see them working on snapping the ball the instant someone jumps to get 5 yards and a free play.

Yea his footwork would help him get the ball out quicker and it is also what both he and Kitna said he was working on all offseason and never said anything about changing his throwing motion. And his release is not a full second quicker.

Not his release, per se. But how fast he gets the ball out after it's snapped is like a full second quicker.

Compare it with a timer, then get back to me.

You are probably right on the footwork..But I don't know if that's why his motion has changed or why he's making quicker decisions to throw the ball. It could be. But it's not "just" or only is footwork, which is why I disagreed with you.

I would say his release is quicker. Not a full second, though. I'm talking about a full second or more after the snap.

From there, it really is like a second, or more, quicker.

Dak is the man. He has a perfect game at QB and during the interviews afterwards he deflected attention from himself and instead praised his teammates and coaches. He does that routinely. And when he doesn’t play well he blames himself That’s true greatness and leadership. No wonder everybody on the team loves him.

There's part of me that's frustrated because of it due to all the time we wasted running Garrett's vanilla scheme and Garrett being convinced that was the way to go. One game and we see what using play-action more, what using motion more, etc., can do. We knew it was missing, other teams' defenses would say what we were thinking, but we just let careers go to waste not fixing one of the core problems. (The other was a lot of bad defenses.)

I wish so badly for players like Ware and Romo to have at least been to a Super Bowl while they were here. At least Ware got his elsewhere.

Play calling is different which helps when the OC is scheming players open. Other than that its year 4 and he just knows the game better.

Who cares what the lead singer of Styx thinks?

I heard Kitna went to Dak and told him he needed to work on his motion. He was concerned Dak's passes were Sailing Away. At first, Dak thought his motion was fine, but Kitna said: "Your Fooling Yourself. Its a Grand Illusion." So Dak asked him: "Show Me the Way". So Kitna showed him how and Dak changed it, and you can tell by the results of the first game that we have The Best of Times. I hope they Don't Let it End.

I wrote this because I have Too Much Time on My Hands.....

You know than ran this some last year in the red zone. Its where they influence the lb to chase the run because linebackers are taught to follow the pulls to the play. Gotta love Kitna working with Dak.

There is a change in Dak's throwing motion.
Yes, I noticed in preseason too. its all his footwork. he sets his feet much better, at the targer, thus it helps his arm motion and release point to be consistent. seems weird, but that's all related.
