You quoted someone saying Taco must have hurt someone’s feelings and said coaches yell at players but somehow it’s bad when players stand up for themselves. And now you say you weren’t talking about Taco?
Actually I wasn't. The guy I quoted referenced Taco but I made a general statement. And that's why Taco's name isn't in my post.

Some people don't respond well to that type of treatment. I personally don't think any man should be spoken to or treated like a dog.

I remember a tightend coach was harping on Swaim real hard on the sideline. He was actually cussing Swaim out and calling him stupid. Witten stepped in and said, "Hey don't talk to him like that." Now if Swaim would have told that coach don't talk to me like that, then Swaim could have been labeled as uncoachable.

Some people don't respond well to that type of treatment and nor should they have too. There is a big difference between motivating a guy and being a butthole.

The Belichick & Jimmy method wins Super Bowls.

Belichick does not spend a lot of time cussing out players. They know to avoid letting it get to that point. If he quietly says jump, they respond with "how high?"

Jimmy could just look at players and that was worse than Garrett spend all day cussing them out.

Hard-arse tactics has proven over history to be the method to get the most out of a group of young men. If players don't like it go work at home depot. I hear they have a nice lady that hands out the $10 an hour paychecks...

You are speaking the truth. I'm speaking the truth. I'm smart enough to know what you are saying and I'm sure you are smart enough to know what I'm saying.

Eight sacks in year two???????

Do a little research.

Had he made 8 sacks last year this post and his conflict would not exist.
Read both the post and the post that was quoted.

They are talking about DLaw in the post that referenced 8 sacks.

And here I thought he was inactive due to injury...
He did have an injury in that last preseason game. He did practice the week before game 1 but was considered limited.

There was a report that he was dogging it in practice. Everything after that is speculation.

He probably expected to be a starter after showing good effort in the preseason. He probably did not have a good reaction when he figured out he would not start.

Last season he had a bad attitude despite being the starter the first 7 games. He was mad that he played more run downs and Gregory played more passing downs.

LOL

Those people shouldn't put themselves in that situation! Anybody who played football as far back as junior high already knows they going aren't out for a picnic. Football is not a dinner party, a social club, its not a dance team and you're going to talk somebody into defeat.

Some days are rough; some days are rougher. And it gets rougher the higher you go. So if you can't handle criticism, walk away.

Same with you. You have a boss. If your boss says this is what you have to do to become a supervisor, you either do it, or you forget being a supervisor.

I say that being an old USMC Vietnam Vet/DAV. If you won't do your job, or don't know your job, I don't want you on my team. Because the second I need you the most, you won't do what's needed, or know what to do. And people are probably going to pay for your failure. I can't have that. So we all need to be on the same page.

Compare that to football or life or whatever you choose. But like your boss, if you don't want to do the job, I'll find somebody who will. And you can go tell the unemployment commission I'm a butthole.

So everyone that's trying to earn a living shouldn't put themselves in that situation? Just picking with you. Players do have options these days. There are 31 other teams out there as well as the CFL and XFL. So if a player wants out...well just look at Antonio Brown and Minkah Fitzpatrick.

BTW- I don't have a boss. I Retired at 35.

The way he looked in preseason he must have some real bad attitude problems. Or it’s already went to far and is over. Play the kid.

The problem with Taco doesn’t seem to be talent. He’s a bone head. Loafs in practice, complains, rubs coaches wrong. He’s talented for damn sure and deserves to play after the preseason.

We never had those issues with Lawrence

Good riddance if he can't deal with standards and team discipline.
It has been a problem with this organization for years. No discipline.

everyone in the NFL world knew it was a mistake to take him over Watt. that's one i'll never get over. i have no idea why they thought Charlton was worthy of that pick. it was an instant huge mistake.

That's how it works...the coaches are THEIR boss...you shut your mouth, accept the criticism, and keep working hard especially if you ever want to play.

Problem is he's a soft *** millennial who thinks he's entitled to everything.

lol.
there have been entitled, lazy players forever in every sport.
but yes, him being a millenial is a huge factor.
old people, man...

I agree, Taco seemed to be turning the curve and would have been productive for us this year. The question is what did he do to get treated this way.

Being a soft taco probably. I believe it's his attitude, but I just let the man play and get the reps.
