After last Sunday, half of Miami requested a trade, that wasn't because they were all unhappy about where they line up. No one wants to play for a team that doesn't want to win.

I agree -- nobody wants to play for a team that doesn't win, just like nobody wants to play at a position they don't want. Again, the FO will do whatever they want to do. We could argue this thing forever and it wouldn't change anything.

Yeah, let's force him to play where he doesn't want to play and see where that gets us. Smart thinking! The FO will decide what to do in any event -- not some fan on a website.

Ok. He doesn't like SS, but could be a free safety. Lets say they want him as a DB. You can put him in the slot and have an immediate upgrade over Anthony Brown whose a free agent at the end of the year and likely moving on. The beauty of the deal here is that Minkah still has 3 years left on his rookie deal and a 5th year option. So, he's not going to kill the cap and gives Dallas an infusion of talent in the secondary and flexibility negotiating with Jones, chido, and lewis.

Its a no brainer and rare opportunity.

No issue with keep Wilson. I want him at slot CB:

Again we already have CBs who can play the slot and play it very well. Give up a 1st for someone we already have to do the job? No. Write Jerry a letter and convince him.

What?

What?
** played primarily Nickel CB last season.

In game 1 this year they had him at multiple positions but none of the were FS.

They have a 2015 5th round CB that is playing FS.

**'s draft position obvious points to him being an elite player but there is some reason that both the old and new coaching staff for the Dolphins have not played him at FS.

Minkah, Patrick Peterson, and Charles Woodson are the only 3 to win the Bednarik and Thorpe award in the same season.

Personally i would do this. The one factor almost no one has mentioned is that Kris Richard is highly respected and I am sure Minkah would love to play any position under him. Arguing CB/SS doesnt matter.

Minkah Fitzpatrick was one of the league's best slot cornerbacks last year. Cowboys don't need a slot CB at this time. Fitzpatrick is too expensive (Dolphins want at least a 1st rounder). Trading Taco (2017 1st rounder) and a 2nd round pick is too much.

If you see a media/fan/blogger reference boundary or boundary CB with regards to the NFL, it means they're just throwing out terms they don't really understand.

Boundary CB is really a college football term. The hash marks are wide in college and the short side of the field vs the wide side are significantly different.

Boundary CB: Plays the short side and often has no Safety help.

Field CB: Plays the wide side and has Safety help.

The fact that many college QBs have limited arm strength also factors into the fact that a sideline route to the wide side is a longer and more difficult throw.

College QBs therefore prefer to throw to the short side which is why some teams keep their best CB on that side.

In the NFL teams either play their CBs right/left or have their top CB follow the top WR.
