My observation they seem to have certain people in mind to play RDE, Crawford temds to be run down RDE and they seem to only rotate in the others on pass rush downs. We can all agree crawford is just taking up space at RDE on pass rush. I think Taco does suffer from lack of position flex and his play is not extraordinary enough to bump anyone else off.

Agreed -- he's a classic "tweener" . . . always has been! ;)

Yes, they often have Crawford at DT in pass rush situations anyway. He played a significant portion of his snaps in game 1 at DT.

Crawford
DE: Good against the run. Not much pass rush.
DT: Good pass rushing DT. Not big enough against the run.

I'm skeptical that any of Crawford, Armstrong or Jackson are better at DE than Taco per se, but Taco may be more likely to make an occasional dumb mistake.

Because defensive ends are a premium in this league. You build your team around your offensive and defensive lines. Taco was a first round pick and he had a very nice pre-season. In fact, the reason the Cowboys are not playing him is because they want his last game to be the pre-season game that he dominated to get other teams interested.

Send him to the Dolphins.

Exactly...………..the Cowboys want his last game to be a good showing in preseason, even though he was going up against scrubs. That is why he was a healthy scratch against the G-spots, they dont want to send him out there against anybody's first team and see him get dominated. That would kill any trade value that he has, and it aint a lot to begin with...……..I'm hearing a 5 or 6 is the asking price, rumors of course so no link.

Dallas has the patience to wait for Dlaw... if Dallas doesn’t see anything at this point I’ll trust their judgment. They see him every practice, next to nothing is better than the actual nothing Dallas will get for him in 2 years...

The problem you hear with Taco is "poor work habits"...………….in other words, the dude doesn't like to practice.

DLaw never dogged it in practice, injuries are what kept him limited early in his career.

And we passed on Watt for this scrub.............that is the real kick in the balls here.

Yes. And a fact that those now trying to minimize the damage need to be reminded of each and every time they try. Missing on and dumping a first round pick after two seasons is bad enough. But when you passed on a Pro Bowl pass rusher to do it? Epic failure.

What's it going to be then, eh?

So what you are saying here is that teams simply go off of the last showing and don't go off their entire body of work? If that is how somebody's pro personnel department works, then they should be fired. One flashy preseason game is not going to override several years of complete mediocrity in games that count. If this is truly how Dallas' front office is handling this, it is an incredibly arrogant perspective that suggests they believe the league is full of a bunch of fools.

I want Minkah Fitzpatrick from the Dolphins.. Don’t know if that’s possible.
How many times do this franchise. Going into another house. And then after game Come Away with one of their players.
