I wouldn't say they're relying on him, but play makers are hard to walk away from
especially considering Randy's age, health, and cost

it's not like all the DEs they've brought through here didn't fit the description, but Randy makes more plays when on the field, 2nd only to DLaw, maybe one of them will step up - my money is still on Taco believe it or not

Come playoff time - I want Randy on the field

Gregory had 5 sacks 11 qb hits in the second half of 2018. Pretty good.

The problem is that he had 1 sack and 3 hits while playing himself into shape in the first half of 2018, and that's what we should expect from him this year if he comes back for the last half of the season. He hasn't played since January.

I'd rather stick with our other guys this year and see Gregory when he can actually show up for the offseason to train and be ready for a season.

Mickey was not optimistic about it on the radio this week. And when mickeys not optimistic about something it must be true since he’s always looking on the brighter side of things.

When Mickey is not optimistic about something it is because someone within organization has shared information with him.

Hennessy King’s verbiage was a bit strong. But he has a point. Our defensive line has been overall pretty average to below average for years now. We have one star player on the defensive line. The rest are either average players or young players with ability but that need to improve and also prove they can take the next step.

Our defensive line has also been having players suspended every damn season for years.

I have optimism the defensive line is getting better. The front office has been trying to build it.

But our defensive line has been average at best for years now and most recent seasons it was below average. That’s just facts.

As far as Eli doing short passing and quick drops. That is the giants offense. They don’t just do that against the cowboys. They do that against every team. A combination of a poor offensive line and that’s what their scheme is. That’s how their offense is designed.
I just watched Commanders/giants highlights from week 8 last year. Second giants play they showed Eli threw a bomb lol whatever bro. Eli didn’t throw deep until they got desperate vs Dallas. I could go through giants games all last year and show the difference in how they play vs us but I don’t care to. We’ll just say our dline is average......cool

Our D line has been average. I’m sorry that bothers you. It bothers me too. But up to this point it has been at best average.

Good defensive lines don’t typically allow 283 yards rushing in the most important game of the year, just as an example.

Our defensive line was tied for 16th in the league in sacks last year. That’s average.

They were top 10 in qb hits. Tell the full story or stop talking

That’s great.

Still a pretty average defensive line last season.

Like I said. The front office has been working on trying to improve the d line. And I think they are gradually getting better.

But the defensive line has been a team weakness for years and years now. That’s common knowledge.

They also didn’t play very well against the Giants in week 1. That’s also a fact.

I do think they will get better once Lawrence gets warmed up and Quinn is back though.

That’s exactly right. He basically just goes out and gives the organizational news in the most polite way possible.

Agree, I think the problem is a DT and has been the biggest problem since Glover roamed the middle for us.

If Keenum tries to throw deep we get sacks. How about that

Without Taco and Gregory, we aren't as deep on DL as people were acting like. We're more like one injury away from having serious problems.

They need to move on from him. His love of Cannabis outweighs his love for football. However, he should not have to choose one or the other. Cannabis should have never illegal or regulated

Yeh he's a bum. And the fact this coaching staff has relied on him to make it back is just irresponsible.

Not only did we invest a first round pick at DE, but we signed Quinn. They are trying not to rely on Gregory. Its been rehashed many times, but there really isnt much benefit to cutting him at this point.

Taco was never going to be a RDE. He is built like a LDE. And D law had that locked up.

quite true ... I want him on the field come playoff time, if on field by midsection , witch I expect, he'll be fine

while on the subject I can't figure out Rod wants to do with anyone but Ross and DLaw, Taco has his best preseason and not dress? Are Hyder and Armstrong actually better? was Randy? is Crawford?

and Hill ... WTH? we don't know how these people actually relate to each other but it looks real weird to me

What does all that say about player dev on the DL?

but maybe the issue is who they have brought in - they hustle, but there's not a real savage in the bunch
DL takes people like Charles Haley and Randy White to dominate ... "it's a violet game"
