LVE did look OK today .
Because LVE did play well. Smith nooooooIt’s interesting to see where people put their loyalties. Smith is getting ripped for a bad game but apparently LVE was awesome.
In reality, I think our LB play has been “ehhh” all year.
What a silly excuse. I am so tired of all the excuses people give this group. The Patriots do not accept that. They were up 43 - 0 and blitzed on the last play and intercepted the ball to preserve their shut out. You know damn well that Dallas would not shut out anyone and certainly would not b litz on the last play to pressure the QB to preserve the shut out. To me that matters and is what makes the Patriots the best franchise of all time and why Dallas is not.Patience. Tank is getting back into shape. Quinn will be here against Miami.
Plus, it's difficult to have a great deal of urgency with a 17 point lead with 5 minutes left.
Patience.
So they aren't worth 21 million against the cap , is what you're saying ?
Quinn was very good last season and is 29 years old, which is in his prime.Crawford did have the only sack of the D.
I think Quinn will disappoint. People putting too much faith in a HAS BEEN.
Gregory if he can come back maybe what we need.
Tank will be fine.
We need more pressure up the middle.
Patience young grasshopper baby. Lawrence didn’t even practice until the final week before the season started. Neither did Jones. Quinn has been out the 1st 2 games and we don’t have Gregory. We get Quinn back next week and Lawrence and Jones will keep improving. DLaw got some pressure today so not reason to cut him. There’s more to playing well on defense than just sacks.
I've read some theories suggesting that. I'm not a big sabermetrics guy, but I have read one study where PFF coverage grades were the facet of defense most strongly correlated with wins and losses.
That being said, I don't think going all-in on DBs is necessarily a great idea either, because of how rigged the rules are against them. Tbh, in a league where any scrub QB can now complete 70% of his passes, I don't even know why you'd invest in defense.
the defense is soft not sure Kris Richard is the answer either

Thanks for bringing a little levity to the conversation. A lot of people down on #54, also, but he still managed to lead the team in tackles.Skins gained 255 yards. They scored one TD on a 38 yard "drive" after a turnover, and another in garbage time.
Defense wasn't the '85 Bears but some of the reactions are over the top.
LOL. Highlight the ONLY player that got a sack for us and completely ignore the guy that we just paid 21m a year to? For real. Crawford isn't great but if we're comparing performances Crawford was worth 4 times what D-Law showed today.
Please watch Crawford play. Key in on him. I know he got the sack but the other 60ish snaps he does nothing. The guy sucks. They should move him inside to see if that helps and stop with him at DE.
I'd advise you to watch him play first. Before telling others to, because it's obvious you havent.
So in 1 game Dlaw amassed a whopping 2 tackles, 1 solo, 1 assist, .5 tackle for loss and a .5 sack. lol. Mack had 5 tackles, 5 solo tackles, 1 tackle for loss. Yeah, not as good.Khalil Mack has 5 tackles and no sacks on the season.
You were saying?
I have. Every game. You keep on lighting the candle though.
Woods went back to being a JAG and Collins is doing his usual regular season disappearing act. I hope Crawford moving inside will help get some pressure up the middle. We lost Irving who played maybe a game or two last year and Gregory who played less than half the season. Other wise I was under the impression we improved on D-Line during the offseason. I don’t know if teams have learned what the rams suddenly did last year. I saw the stunts worked 1 time today. Is it something our DC hasn’t corrected or is it still predictable.. We had no pressure other than a few plays. We did see holding calls so did we get held all day and they only called it 3 or 4 times. I gave the D-Line the benefit of doubt for the first game. The tackling looked better this week but still not much pressure and I hate our prevent Defense. Looks like a Marinelli thing still. Richard needs to ditch that if he is calling plays.
With no mention of D-Law, whiny *****.
