He'll probably be ok, but he takes a lot of shots because of how fast he plays. Every time he catches the ball it seems like a helmet is hitting his knee.
Yeah, he took a nasty lick. Gallup can sit out this week, but need him back in two weeks.

Devin Smith is a starter level WR, so the offense will still be good.
What have you seen from Smith that shows he's a starting WR?

A ligament tear they can feel by manipulating the leg. If it’s a sprain, they’re probably getting a sense of the severity. So it’s probably something that would be measure in weeks, if anything.

As long as it’s nothing serious, I’m more than happy to let him miss this week and rest up.
We could put a cheerleader or even Jerry in against Miami and still win.

i think so too, i'll hear mickey spag's reports tomorrow and see how they handled it in the locker room ...if he was walking comfortably or limping,,,

I hope it's precautionary as well. We should be able to destroy the Dolphins without him. The Dolphins have no morale and look like they just want the season to end already.

Contusion to the knee is promising, that could be just some bruising. On the flip side, a hard knock to the front of the knee can cause an ACL tear which would be disastrous.

It looked like all of our WR's were taking some odd hits yesterday.

BTW, Dak needs to learn to slide earlier.. Give up a yard or 2 and just get down.

What would they be looking for like a tear? Is it normal to need an MRI or is that usually a bad sign?

Typical to do now days. They want to determine even if there is a partial tear. To determine how to rehab it. If a slight tear, could be difference of 1 week or 2 or 3 weeks or more. It is precautionary in many cases.
