Right? The lightbulb turned on for Stephen Jones suddenly, and McClay got promoted, twice. And it’s pure coincidence that it all started ~2011. Anything else is unthinkable.
not suddenly. Stephen had enough during the miserable 2015 season. he was the only one in the front office that put the blame for our failures on the coaches. next season he gets dak and zeke. they Jaylon and vanderesch. and connor Williams. and cooper. and gallup. then he started the carousel of coaches. he offered the dc job to ben bloom who in deference to Marinelli turned down the job. so he brought in Kris Richard and let him essentially take over the dc job. and sanjay lal and the promotion of moore. I could go on. but why? and he also got rid of dez and kept dak the starter over romo.

Why are you starting in the middle of the rebuild though? Frederick? Martin? Tyron? DeMarcus Lawrence. It didn’t all magically starting 2016.

i'll say this about Garett, he is having a great ride along . The offense is working despite him being in the sideline .

& no, he has no say on hiring coaching staff.
Really, who do think it was that wanted Linnehan gone? LAST YEAR!

The Cowboys do have a good culture right now and that's vital over a long march up the mountain. Sure, I suppose Garrett deserves some credit in that. It's also key to avoid malcontents in the locker room, and to have solid team leaders.

They have shown growth from last season for sure. Our Defense not so much..
glimmer---- i am very concerned about our defense...not getting to the QB and the secondary seems off tilter and our linebackers are getting low grades both games..and we have not net the good QB's yet and the tough opponents...hope Richarrd and our Big D coordinator can fix it?

You could be right.
hey Corso---long time no see....i am concerned with our run blocking ( even though Zeke got a 111 ) and very concerned with our supposed "elite" defense that either gets shredded in yardage or gives up easy scores.i know i am being

picky but did you see Dak miss a total wide open Witten in right end zone choosing instead to throw underneath?.....everyone is heavy praising Dak but when he gets honestly pressured i have not seen improvement....that inteception

was all his fault...he could have led the receiver..nothing was blocking his way...except pressure around him...the O-line has been very good in pass protection..very good...i hope this is not "fools Gold" we are seeing with Dak?..i know

people here may feed me to the wolves saying that...but sometimes we have to temper all this praise with some authentic "Negative Nancy"..hehehehe

It's funny how pigheaded people are. Moore was developed by Garrett just like Dak, Zeke,, TFred, DLaw, Martin, Gallup, LC, Woods, Woods, Smith, Jones, LVE, etc.

If we get to the Superbowl this year I will give him credit.

10 years of process ....... As a fan ...... I need some results from all that process.
Zrin---
He gets credit for letting Moore do his thing.

Oh, and this of course...

Even if this is his last year, he leaves the team in a much better place than how he found it. Best coach since Jimmy.

Curious what you mean by "developed". Garrett does very little hands-on instruction with any of the positional groups.

The 1,000 people who criticize Garrett and the 50 who defend him are lost and ignorant. Both sides equally foolish. Garrett doesn't call the offense...or the defense...or the special teams. He doesn't call the plays. He isn't central on designing schemes. He's little more than a tone-setter...in other words...a figure-head.

Whether you fixate and criticize...or try to praise....it's all empty. He really doesn't do much in Dallas. It's the coordinators that drive the show.

Offensive

He does say a lot without saying anything. I heard politicians study his halftime interviews to prepare for debates.
Max i dont even listen to any of his interviews....same stuff over and over and over...remember Jimmy and Parcells...they got fired up at times and no one missed their interviews

I can see this happening . Garrett will try to sabbotage moore even if it means losing , i think Garrett is that type of guy . Showed it as OC .
You’re confusing Garrett with a lot of fans. Many would rather see us lose than give him any credit.
