Should Cowboys consider resting some stars vs Dolphins

Miami looks like they’re headed to an 0-16 season. The line opened at 16 and quickly shot to 21. Totally unheard of in the NFL.

I understand we’ll probably start everyone but if anyone is nursing an injury this would be a great time to rest them and I’d seriously consider resting our starters if the game gets out of hand early.

Maybe we could try and be a bit more disruptive on the D, see if we can game plan that in before we put in the 3rds.

If we’re leading like 30-0 for example we should continue to leave our starters out there with risk for injury ?
Why??

That's completely different than the previous question. I do think that players who are already banged up should take the game off. However, with that being said, I think we should use this as a fine up game like college teams do. If we get up big early, as we should, then sure. Pull the starters as needed.

Not less unless they are up 35-0 at half.

Starters still need time to gel, especially at positions like OL/DL.

Let players like Cooper feast, unless he's covered by Howard, then let the other receivers feast lol.

^^^that^^^... IS the only way I rest my starters, period. Its all about the MO...keep it going.
We took some of our starters out last week when we were up 31-10 against the Giants.

This Miami game could be over before halftime.

And Id consider anyone who’s nursing an injury to rest completely which is probably a short list after 2 games.

That’s all I’m saying. Sounds like some only read the title and not the opening post.

Who says they won't jump out on us? We just need to show up and play hard and if things go our way THEN we decide that. Besides, our D needs some work.
