If his pocket awareness has got better with pressure, then he has taken a big leap. So far we have not seen enough pressure to make that call yet. Like I have said, I don't hate Dak.

He won’t play as well as he has been, in games with a lot of pressure. No QB really does. That’s why pass rush is so valued.

But hopefully he has made some improvements in that area.

I have seen Dak step up in the pocket a few times and make a throw. Which is improvement from the spin move out of the back of the pocket he was doing previously.

Even on the Int. He stepped up in the pocket because of pressure and found an open receiver. He did everything right except the throw was behind the receiver a little bit. So he made all the right decisions. The execution was just slightly off.

I think that’s progress.

It's not the numbers I'm particularly excited about. It's the hips, the footwork, the quicker release, and more accurate throws consistently. I hope he keeps it up. This is a taste of what I think he's capable of. I'll happily eat Crow. @WillieBeamen wants some silverware and napkins, too.

btw...Daks best trait? IS his availability and toughness. NEVER GETS HURT never EVER misses a snap. NOT to mention can hurt you with his legs. We saw this yesterday. It helped keep the momentum with us.
Biggest attribute is managing the game and taking care of the ball....this year they are letting him open up some and he is taking advantage of it

because in the nfl...a win is a win IS A WIN. Stacking up 3 wins in a row to start a season isn't easy, no matter the opponent. Means your doing many things right as an organization. Your welcome.

...and thats why we wait till the end of the season to pass judgement...kind of like Dak being ranked #17 in QBR last season. Its the totality of the season,

When the League has a 3 game season and then starts playoffs then I'll say thank-you but alas, were not quite there yet, but thanks for playing

other good points. He has the entire scope of the Playbook available...so your right. That has does wonders for his confidence level. He can be himself out there and not afraid like he was with Linehan...to make a audible..or mistake. Linehan hindered him after his rookie year. Moore was the best move we made all offseason.

Some things Dak’s biggest critics never seemed to realize:
  • He’s 26, not 36. He is still learning how to maximize his ability. It takes a few years to learn how to play this position effectively.
  • He’s proven to be coachable. He has drastically improved his fundamentals because he worked at it.
  • Many really good QBs take 3-4 years to learn. If they’re humble and want to improve, it’s possible. Very few QBs are an instant success.
I know it’s early in a long season. But Dak is showing he’s no fluke. This guy is rapidly moving up the ranks of top NFL QBs.

Common sense post of the year!

the pass to Witten for the TD was a thing of beauty..the ball placement and timing...same with Coopers TD. Daks accuracy was nails after that one pass where he was a touch off.

Another hater that doesn’t have the backbone to admit when they are wrong. Sad.

No, Dak’s fine, it’s just his dumb fan boys that provide me comedy relief.

Like I said, when the fact that Dak’s QBR had dropped precipitously each year since 2016, the Dak Boyz all tried to dismiss the metric outright.

Now of course that Dak’s QBR is favorable the same mouth breathers are now “hey guyz, look at this fancy new number!”

You can try to pivot all you want but mantra has been the same: Dak’s not the problem; his dimwitted fans are.

Is it so hard to say when Dak plays badly, to say he played badly? And when he plays well, to say he played well?

Why does everything have to be so dogmatic and truculent.

Of course we dismissed it because we saw the talent, the leadership and the fierce desire to continually work on his game. You didn't and now you're butt hurt over it. Talk about comedy relief :lmao2:

but he was throwing some balls very accurately into tight coverages. Last week some of you said the same excuse..."wait til we play a NFL team." What...so when we beat Miami the same way, that wont measure up either? LOL...all the guy does is win and shine...but the doubters just wont give him the full cred. Always a "yeah but." Facts are, he has looked elite. He has overhauled his mechanics and he is much more accurate. He had 1 bad pass yesterday..not too shabby.
Yeah, but after Miami is New Orleans w/out Brees... beating them won't measure up either. We won't get a real challenge until we play the Packers.

Cliches are nice and all, but we all know that it's easier to look good against the Giants, Commanders and Dolphins than it will be against the Rams and Patriots. Beating the Giants and Commanders handily does tell you some things about your team--you're at least pretty good--but there's a lot we don't know yet, because those teams are so bad.
