A lot of shade being thrown around about D Law

To me this proves the value of playing in the pre season. It bothers me that players are opting to not play during pre season and coaches are allowing it and then taking 2-4 weeks of regular season games to work out the rust. Work out the rust in the pre season so you hit the ground running when it counts. SMH
If it's going to be like this, might as well go to an 18 game season. I've been against it, but man this is ridiculous.

D-Law
0.5 sacks | 3 QB hits | 1 FF | 0 TFL

Aaron Donald
0 sacks | 2 QB hits | 0 FF | 1 TFL

K Mack
1 sacks | 1 QB hit | 1 FF | 2 TFL

Von Miller
0 sacks | 0 QB hit | 0 FF | 0 TFL

JJ Watt
0 sacks | 1 QB hit | 0 FF | 0 TFL

Note: Lawrence was on a limited snap count game one. Still more QB hits than his contemporaries.

Starts at $20 million.

Let's face it, he's on pace for 8 sacks on the year, would you be happy with that for $20 million?

Obviously not, but I'd take 8 Forced Fumbles which he's also on pace for

Do you really think he's going to end up with 8, though?

Possibly. Although, he should get quite a few more than that when Quinn comes in.

Honestly I don't. I'm just stating that I'd like to see more from him, that he's started off a bit slow. The entire defense has started slower than I had expected or hoped for. But I think we all hope that they'll turn it up as the season goes along.

In fact, I thought they improved over the course of the game yesterday other than when they went to their horrid version of prevent.

What we really need is "that guy" at DT. That majorly disruptive force that is almost unblockable. Yes, even more than we need a NT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

that he's started off a bit slow.

Here's the thing, though. He was only in on 45% (31) of snaps in game 1 (I know, I know, his fault for delaying the surgery).

Yesterday he was in on 74% (46).

However, Dallas is #4 in time of possession, so he's not getting as much opportunity either. That has to be taken into consideration.

OK. First, I really don't care that players on other teams are not performing. I am focused on what the Dallas players are doing. D-Law is all mouth right now and is not performing better than his poorly paid teammate.

He should be held accountable for his sub-par play. Throw in his salary, Dallas got hood-winked. Every player on the line should look in the mirror at their lack of effort and improve. If D-Law is the leader then he should lead. He should start by dominating his individual opponent, accumulate more sacks, make more tackle for losses and create more turnovers. Is it too much ask him to "do his job?"

He gets paid like a superstar therefore he should play like a superstar.

I think the OP's post at the bare minimum should make yourself askif your thought process is flawed.

Also, I usually watch him on defense like I did with Ware before him and all things considered Demarcus Lawrence is playing really good.

He just hasn't got a sack so Cowboyszone logic is he's overrated, overpaid, terrible.

The rest of the guys need to step up though. D Line has been a disappointment out of Lawrence.

He caused multiple disruptions and we should have had a couple INTs because of the pressure. And the rest of the D line are jags. For not playing in the off season - he did very well.

It's NOT about sacks.

Conversely, maybe he's not getting exposed as much, along with the entire defense.
