I don't see any real holes on defense from a roster standpoint. We have the guys to get it done but they need to do the job.

We've seen them be awesome last year so we know they are capable. What we did to New Orleans was rare.

We have 2 mutant linebackers, incredible corner depth, solid safeties, and a Dline that can improve with Quinn coming into the mix.

We have the pieces.

We’re really good. The one thing holding us back is our DL.I'm hoping Quinn makes a difference for us. If Gregory could somehow get reinstated around halfway that would be huge. I just look at teams that had won SB’s have really good DL play. I see Lawrence and a bunch of average dudes out there. It’s unfortunate Taco and Hill look like busts.

Irving and Gregory losses still linger.

If we had David Irving it would put our defense over the top.

Quinn is going to bring it as an edge rusher but Maliek Collins needs to be the guy that was getting hyped in camp to see this thing be legit legit.

We have years of data with these current Cowboys to know they are for real. We don't need to judge them off 2 games this season. We know what a lot of these players are.

The biggest take away is Kellen Moore.

We now have that same talent with a coach that looks like he is going to put them in a position for success.

It has potential but still has a tendency to be weak up in the middle of DL and secondary at safety.

I’d like to see our “ mutant” LB’ers provide more pressure and stuffing the run.

I’d suggest we tone down the rhetoric until we beat someone with a winning record. We’re off to a good start. It’s been fun but I’d be careful becoming too full of ourselves just yet.

I’m like you. Need to keep an even keel. Both teams we faced aren’t that good. At the same time, they are divisional opponents we need to put in the rear view mirror. That we did handily.

That saying “Throw out the records when playing division rivals...” usually holds true. Not this year, so far.

Miami is up, and then getting into some of the meat of our schedule is on the plate. One game at a time. Defense needs to be better for sure.

Still early in the game, but Kellen calling the offense is our “Ace in the Hole.”

They certainly looked great against two of the worse defenses. Dak is best passer in NFC after two weeks. Do we really believe that will hold up?

we are good. just haven't been tested. you score that much and dominate that easily....you have to be good. you are expected to dominate if you are good, which we did. Rams will be a test specially for the defense..... I think we are better than packers who are struggling to get to 2-0.....

patriots are tough tough tough...it wouldn't surprise me for them to go for a perfect season, the one legacy they want after losing in the superbowl and going 18-1....

I'll agree with being a little soft against the run but I think it's more to do with alignment and guys overrunning and very little to do with the players talent themselves. They can get it done. Top 5 run defense last year.

Safeties.. Has to be the most overblown "weakness" i've ever seen on these forums that we have.

Our safeties are fine. I'd love to upgrade but they aren't hurting us like people on here would make you believe.
