Stephen: Not looking at trading for any player worthy of a 1st round pick

I wonder if he thinks this for ANY player? Would he do this for Aaron Donald? I would trade a first for him instantly. Oh well, I doubt Dallas will trade a first for any defensive player. They seem to only do that for offensive players.....
Considering we traded a 1st like 6 months ago..... yeah he probably thinks some players are worth 1sts. Yikes

He said that might be available.

I thought the talk was a deal involving Taco and Fitzpatrick. I definitely wouldn't trade next years first for him.
Seriously? The only relevance Taco would have had to that trade would have been Dallas saving face on the pick and Miami agreeing to it. Wouldn't have had any relevance in the compensation for Minka. A 1st is the minimum they should get!

I interpret it to mean he’s not willing to give up another 1st rounder. That doesn’t mean he doesn’t value Minkah as a 1st round talent.

I'm glad to hear that from Stephen. Not having a 1st round pick during this year's draft really sucked. I'm glad he values that pick enough to preserve it for the actual draft. Amari Cooper was worth the pick we gave up but how often does that sort of thing work out?

I understand the thinking. Especially now. You are going to need the cheap talent and having them for 4 or 5 years is a luxury.

Dolphins are coming for a visit, perfect time to lock something up. Taco + a 2nd.

Look, no one and by that I mean any NFL GM wants Taco. You'd have to just give him away with 5 dozen Taco Buenos' just to send him on his way.
These NFL teams aren't stupid. No team is going to give you anything for this guy. Just one more of Marinelli's draft losers.

this is exactly what I was thinking dallas should do. It would be a win win for the cowboys for a player who in turn should have a solid career. And would be under contract for the next 4 years I think it is! Anyways I really want this to happen.

Stephen also says he thinks Bell reset the RB market and that this team won't be market setters for such.

Ummm ......

I bet you are wrong about that. I'll bet my posting privileges on this forum versus your posting privileges on this board that Taco is traded and not cut. Put up or shut up!

How about a second with chance to become first. Pro bowl or all pro stipulations

Then you're not getting him.

He's easily worth a 1st.

Someone might give them a first for him which is fine as long as it isn't us. I would much rather have a our first next year.

Maybe in college as a player in the draft, yes, worth a #1, but what makes him worth a first in his NFL career? He’s not a full time starter. His contract has years left on it. If his NFL performance warranted a first, Miami wouldn’t let a young guy under contract go or someone would have already offered a #1 and he’d be out of Miami.

it was probably so agonizing for Cowboys to have to give up that No.1 pick for Cooper, but it had to be done per our dire situation of the offense , and they thought Cooper was warranted,
even it ended up being a High 1st, and also, there wasn't a WR coming out of the 2019 NFL draft that they thought would be the equal of Amari - the Ferrai .
plus they were in a Go- for-it, championship drive.
i'll betcha that they don't consider Fitzpatrick that unique to give up their likely late No.1 pick and would prefer a 2nd round and a 5th rd. ..at the least.

they will wait it out in the 1st round and hope someone that is very high on their board, somehow manages to drop to their slot .. or have the luxury of packaging of that 1st rd and another high pick to
Move Up to get a certain, special regarded player that is in reach if the right deal is made and agreed upon. Just my guesswork.
