Which is what I think he will end up with which will be less than what he has been giving us previously. I know it is not liked but I think Zeke has been declining and when he ends up with 1300 yards this season and 1200 the next, it will be apparent to more. He is still good. He just isn't the best. I believe Barkley is better.

What if his name was Keith Elliott?

Zeke will eclipse 1400 yards easily as long as he plays 16 games.

Zeke is 6th in touches

Zeke is 13th in total yards amongst running backs

Highest paid RB
Zeke is also learning the system in the fly and getting in game shape by playing since he had no offseason interaction with the team. Zeke is goin be ok. He’s getting better every game.

Zeke isn't learning the system on the fly. Who told you that?

He was there for all of mini camp, and has had their playbook the entire time.

There's alot of competition for Zeke at RB around the league this year. It's going to be very hard for him to recapture his title. But this is about the team, not Zeke. He still plays an important roll...

Zeke did well late in the game closing things out. However, the first 3 quarters were not up to par.

Zeke is a volume back. He gets his yards because he gets LOTS of carries. I just don't see that he has the big play making skills of some of the other top backs.

Zeke has 17 career TDs of over 10 yards in 42 games.
Gurley has 17 in 60.
David Johnson has 15 in 51 games.
Kamara has 14 in 33 games.
Bell has 10 in 63 games.
Saquon has 9 in 18 games.
McCaffrey has 5 in 34 games.

1300 is not 90+ mil yardage. it's 30+ mil yardage
He's paid to be reliable, to get the 3&1 in the 4th quarter when the game is on the line, to open up the passing game, to block a linebacker when defenses blitz, and to show up EVERY SINGLE GAME. He's paid to win, and so far were we're winning. Why complain?

So far he hasn't been needed, and that's a good problem to have. Save Zeke's legs for the tough games at the end of the season.

Zeke had 4.8 YPC Sunday. A lot of that came when we had a lead and Washington knew we'd be running it at them.

Get out of here with that nonsense.

Zeke wears defenses down and often gets bigger yardage later in games, but that's exactly what you want from your back. They can no longer stop him after we've taken the lead and are running out the clock on them.

1300 yards rushing would be good for

3rd in 2018
3rd in 2017
3rd in 2016
3rd in 2015

He’s due 107 million over 8 seasons.
That’s just over 13 per year.

There’s no dead money against us on the contract for 23/24, giving the team a clean out if need be for the final 31 million.

That means over the next 6 seasons he’s making 12.6 million per year. That’s good for fourth RIGHT NOW.
That’s only going to look better as other RBs ain’t their next deals.

I don't think anyone would argue that 10+ yards is a "big play", you're already halfway through the redzone at that point.

20 or 25+ yard plays would be a much better indicator

Isn't it nice. He's going to get his yardage. Without having to have to be the entire yardage

I think Moore's going to use him less than Linehan did, so I expect his yardage to decline, but his efficiency is still rock solid. 4.8 YPC this week, should have been 4.8 YPC last week if he wasn't jobbed by a Cooper penalty that didn't affect the play. Next Sunday should goose his efficiency stats as well. As long as he keeps that kind of pace up, I'm not worried about the difference between say 1100, 1300, or 1500 yards.

Barkley is doing crazy stuff right now though. I bet he ends up with the rushing title this year, and if he does it on that wretched Giants team, he deserves it.
