I don't think the coaches would want to instill a mindset of just showing up for a game and expecting to win. I don't care who you are playing.

yes, .. once we are up 48 -10 with 5-6 minutes left in the game ... that's when the likes of pollard, rush, smith, Jordan, trysten hill should play even more to replace the starters.

If we’re leading like 30-0 for example we should continue to leave our starters out there with risk for injury ?
Why??

I'd rest some of the offensive players in that scenario but few if any of the defenders, maybe just Lawrence. And I'd do it if we had that kind of lead at halftime. If the team shows signs of letting the Dolphins back into the game, then I'd reinsert the starters.

People really don’t know JG. This isn’t happening and is ridiculous. Dak was in the game last week when the game was well within hand. Same with Brady.

Play it as it comes. If the game is out of reach, get some reps for the backups, although it will be like extended preseason with a team tanking the season already.

Got to play the stars at least midway through the 3rd and Elliott wants to win the rushing title again and this will be a good stat padding game.

To do that would be arrogant and dumb. You don't go into a regular NFL game thinking it's going to be an easy win because you will get your azz handed to you. Trap game?

Not this game. This team is intentionally tanking the season.

Lets talk 4th quarter opportunities for pollard and rush. If we are up by multiple scores, maybe we can start pollard with Dak in the 4th and let rush have the last series of the game for the win.

NO, unless they're injured and definitely not before the pre-game.
Start the game as you would any other and let it play out before you go chalking it up as an easy W.
If we are in total control after 2 or 3 quarters, than fine pull the plug on some key players.
Never take an NFL team lightly! Especially if they are starting an new QB!

Miami looks like they’re headed to an 0-16 season. The line opened at 16 and quickly shot to 21. Totally unheard of in the NFL.

I understand we’ll probably start everyone but if anyone is nursing an injury this would be a great time to rest them and I’d seriously consider resting our starters if the game gets out of hand early.
not in the first half....remember last year, NE went down there, seemingly favored by 10 points on the road and on a fluke last play lost the game.....

This place is gonna go nuts if the Cowboys aren't up 28-0 after the first quarter. :muttley:

This ain't preseason, there are only 48 players available to play on game day. I can't imagine anyone they could rest.

Too many ways this thing could go off the rails.
Take care of business first.
Then work a on few things you want to do down the road.

The guys slated for an MRI should not be pushed to getting back ASAP.

With all the time the defense has lost in TC play the starting D into the 3rd qtr if there is a big lead. Hell play everyone into the 3rd. drop a double nickle on the Dolphins and then worry about playing the 2nd string.

if the game is out of hand (like 3 tds in the second half) i'd look to rest guys that are banged up or have understudies that i want to have more game time (like seeing more of pollard)
