DK Metcalf had the same surgery during training camp on August 21 and pronounced himself 100% healthy at practice on September 5 and played in game 1.

So best case is that he is back for the Saints game. If not then somewhere between when we play the Packers and Eagles.

Compared to some teams, it could be worse. I certainly hate to lose any offensive weapons though, especially since it appears we are going to need to score a lot of points until this defense can get it together. Well, maybe we won't need to score much next week.

Haha you said he is every bit the wide receiver. What does that mean? He is not as good as Michael Gallup. That offends you?
Every bit the wide receiver. He can catch the Deep ball. He can catch the Slants. He might not have as much time in as Gallop with Prescott. But he will be just as capable. Again excuse me for being positive

I guess it could have been worse, but I hate that Gallup has to miss any time whatsoever. He’s a star in the making.

Hopefully he’ll have a speedy recovery.

What offends me is inconsiderate people that put words in their mouths that aren't written down. Learn to read and comprehend before you reply you'll save yourself a lot of headache

For all the crap about player safety, it bothers me that you continually see defenders just launch themselves at receiver's lower leg. Not to wrap up & tackle but just to drive their head\shoulders into the leg. OBJ isn't wrong about some teams coaching this.

I can understand that it is sometimes going to happen but if you watch you will notice it happening when the tackle could be made otherwise.

You said he was every bit the wide receiver. All I said was No. I still don't know why that is bothering you so much. He isn't. You are wrong. He might be just fine as our 5th option instead of the 6th but he isn't even close to the wide out Michael Gallup is. You can keep trying to convince me that I can't read, but you said he is every bit the wide reciever as Gallup and I said No he's not. Then you got offended.

i

I had this in June. Pain gone but still feels weak even after 15 PTs and bowling sucks now.

I am a finely tuned specimen of an athelete, so the antecdote is appropriate.
Meniscus injuries are almost always longer in regards to recovery time. And this is a professional athlete. Had both my knees “cleaned” out from basketball injuries. I went full recovery time and still felt looser.

Anyways, here’s to a speedy recovery for the young upstart.

No I'm sorry you feel that way. I like Devin Smith and I think he'll do a great job out there.

Gallup is one of my personal favorites and on my FF team. Never want to any injury but part of me is interested to see what other receivers look like with the starting offense. I have also been on the Ced bandwagon since pre draft review so hoping he gets opportunity to show his skills.

Of course Devin is a great story in his own right so hopefully that continues as well.

When did you start feeling normal?

What do you mean by "looser"? The knee felt better, or it felt like you could injure it again because it wasn't secure (i.e., looser)?

Just saw the news.. that sucks. I thought we were pretty fortunate on the injury side this week considering what's been going around. I spoke too soon.
