How good do we think the 2-0 Cowboys are?

We’ll know so much more after the Saints and Packers. The team looks great but the competition has been ultra light. The thing I’m most impressed by is Dak’s accuracy. He looks like an elite QB this season.

WE rush for 111 but we're not going to be stubborn with the run game this year so I don't know if you'll ever feel like we established it to the extent we have in the past.

It's simple.. IF the defense is cheating Kellen will make them pay and the receivers will go off.

We're not going to be a stubborn run at all costs team anymore.

We'll run if they give it to us and if they cheat we will make them pay.

I agree. We're more dynamic of an offense now. But we still have the talent to run it 40 times in a cold weather playoff game if we need to. My main concern is this defense. Can we still win if we're held to single digits. The NFC North has some really good defenses and they're built for cold weather.

I will never put the Cowboys into the playoffs and beyond based on only two wins. But as a fan I will thoroughly enjoy and celebrate every win along the way,
and that I will never tone down!

I say we can score on anyone, and we could compete in a shootout. Problem is our defense. We have a $100 million pass rusher who couldn't even pressure Eli.....

The beauty of being fans -- we don't have to pump the brakes on our enthusiasm or be concerned whether we are being overly positive. Our over-confidence won't cost us a ballgame. We are spectators. It is the job of the participants to be focused and to avoid taking anything for granted. There are 16 regular season games. Each of those games represents 6.25% of the season. We can enjoy each game -- and we enjoy them most when the team is good and there is something for which to play. So far, 13% of the season has provided me great joy and excitement.

Life is serious. There are disappointments. Football, as any entertainment, is a diversion. I like to enjoy that diversion as often as possible.

The Cowboys are undefeated. I'll take that and enjoy each game as it comes.

Seems to me the 4 best teams in the NFL are the Pats , Chiefs , Rams and our Boys.............................

yet you want us to sit starters vs miami.

who are and who aren't contenders will be decided later in the season....but to this point in the season...we are one of the best teams in the league.
I’d agree but not sure what that really means in September against weak schedule. Proceed with caution.

And yes, I would sit starters this week as soon as Game is in hand.

Why should it be toned down? The team is 2-0, the offense is better than last season and the defense no worse so why not get carried away?

Hell, when can posters be happy, if not now? If it goes off the rails later, we can always be sullen and pissed off, we're used to that.

I agree it is early and they've not really beaten anyone but the QB, QBC and OC are seeing the field the same and so far, the QB looks improved. I poopooed the idea that Prescott's struggles were OC related but I am seeing a much more confident and in charge QB and he might just be top 10 after all.

This is like being a kid at Christmas and under that tree is a big mysterious box with your name on it and it could be almost anything, a new bike or socks for life, Christmas day is quite a ways off so whatchyagonna think is in that box?
I’m ok with having fun with it. Just a word of caution until we have more evidence against proven contenders.

Yea, my thread is in response to all of the noise I was watching and listening to last night and this morning about how good this team is. As always I enjoy playing devils advocate and an infusion of reality. Ha
You tend to get hung up on your agenda and drone on about certain things. Prevents you from being a good devil's advocate.

I hear ya . But I try to provide a balance or reality check against the public wave.

We appear a little to full of ourselves right now at 2-0.

The Cowboys can beat anybody if they stay healthy. The team is loaded with talent across the board, and they are getting better coaching.

We need to earn a bye. 12 wins should do it and I think it’s achievable.
..getting a bye would be a first in a while. We can do it, need to stay healthy.

It’s being widely discussed with our two dominating offensive performances against two of our division rivals that we are one of the best teams in the league at this point.

How good are we? And can we really measure up with the opponents we’ve faced?

Are we as good or better than the 2-0 Rams? The 2-0 Packers, Seahawks or 49ers right now in NFC?

How about the 2-0 Patriots, Chiefs or Ravens?

I’d suggest we tone down the rhetoric until we beat someone with a winning record. We’re off to a good start. It’s been fun but I’d be careful becoming too full of ourselves just yet.

Definately better than the packers seachickens and whiners. packers had to fight against two bad division rivals, we beat ours down. niners beatdown two pathetic embarassing franchises almost deviod of talent. seachickens hardly beat the has been steelers. ravens beat the worst team the nfl has ever seen and then hardly beat the inept cardinals.

The chiefs and pats are definately better but the chiefs have issues on defense

We should be too full of ourselves. Seeing a promising roster play up to it's potential (especially on offense) is something many of us have been dieing to see for years. I understand the need to readjust some opinions about certain players may make some apprehensive. As always I'm here for perspective and laughs.

We had bye in 2016. We were basically a defensive stop on 3rd and 20 from going to first championship game in 20 years.
