Having an appreciation for Dak's ability has nothing to do with fandom, just having open eyes

True, but that is the case with most of the QBs in the league. Wentz made a ton of mistakes tonight and last week, and Goff although they got the win, missed a few throws and players for big gains.

Here's the thing. I don't look at Dak and hope for the kind of QB play I see with most QBs in the league. Truth be told, 75% of the QBs in the NFL right now aren't very good IMO. I want Dak to be a Brady or a Breezy etc. Wentz, IMO, isn't a grezt QB to this point. Goff, IMO, isn't a great QB to this point. If that's what you want at QB, I understand but that's what I want and that's not the standard, by which, I hold Dak to.

Personally, I like what Dak is doing. I acknowledge and enjoy his improvement and truthfully hope for more of same. Everyone here is free to state their opinions and free to change their minds, assuming it's within their pleasure to do so. In other words, enjoy the games to come and feel free to share your opinions, whatever they may be. In short, let's try to coexist and respect those with opinions that differ from our own. We'll all be happier in the end. ;)

As do all QBs... Even the elite ones... Yet we are hypersensitive about the mistakes are QB makes while making excuses for other teams QBs (cough, cough. Wentz).

Have you ever seen me make an excuse for Wentz? If you have, show me. If not, then this post does not pertain to me. As I said earlier, I don't care about Wentz, he aint a great QB IMO. I care about Dak and I compare him to other great QBs I've watched. Doesn't matter to me what anybody else thinks of this. I don't care about what they think either. I care about what I think.

You can say that but if you break it down, I think you would see that it was not one of his best games. I don't hate on Dak but I also don't puff the goods. I try to be as honest as I can. I'll leave it to everybody to come to their own conclusions.

There are very few perfect games. Im sure we had missed opportunities. Every QB has them. All together it was a great game for Dak. No way around that. He was killing them through the air and on the ground. Skins had no answer.

There is a difference between Perfect and Great. You can be a great player without going out and being perfect statistically. I don't think I've ever said that Dak or any QB has to be perfect. I think what's happening here is that you are trying to frame the argument. I don't accept that.

One thing you guys have to learn about hate. You can't change a persons mind, so ignore them. My life has been enriched by this ignore feature.
Basically your life has been enriched by only listening to people with your same views. Like I said most of the people on here can only function when their views aren’t challenged.

No, whats happening is you gave a back handed compliment and I called you out on it. You minimized what he did yesterday. He had a damn good game by any standards. Calling him "not terrible" is ridiculous.

Anyone reasonable isn't doing that. I was hard on Dak for 3 seasons because he was late on throws and he would miss basic throws too often. 3rd and long was a screen. At the end of last season though some of us were talking about how he looked like he was turning the corner mentally, and that's actually been confirmed now because Dak recently said that's when the lights went on.

But the new throwing motion is the game changer IMO. It's like he has Forrest Gump's leg brace on his right arm for three seasons and he finally broke out of it. He is throwing with ease and the balls are just zipping on target. It's like watching a new guy, and these are not two fluke games. This is the new Dak.

Anybody who doesn't see that is just more interested in being right. Some guys are able to fix their weaknesses and some aren't. We should all be happy that Dak is one of the former.

That's a long winded, round about way of admitting you were dead wrong.

There are people literally right this moment frantically trying to rewrite history and figure out any possible way they can of continuing to criticize Dak. Well keep it coming because much like Michael Jordan and Emmitt. The great ones thrive on undervaluing and proving the naysayers wrong. Bring it on. Just stay off the band wagon. :)
I have not seen many criticisms of Dak at all this year. He's off to a great start, seems to have changed his body motion somewhat when throwing. His footwork is much improved. I have not seen him throw off his backfoot yet this season and he did it all the time the last couple years. Probably due to several former QBs on the coaching staff now.

Either way, it's a pleasent surprise. I think Dak has turned the corner and I'm excited for this year. But let's hold off the MJ comparisons. MJ was the best to ever play.

Well, I can't help what you read into things. That's on you. I gave my opinion on what I saw and if that's in opposition to what you believe, then so be it. If you want to accuse me of whatever, sucks for you. If you feel like you are calling me on something, call away, see where it gets you.

What's terrible here is your post. Your opinion is yours, I give it little to no heed. Have a good day.

You need to learn the magic of the compound sentence.

Everybody can clearly see Dak playing well right now. He and Moore have a good thing going here.

But it's also very possible that Dallas are about to be 3-0 against teams that are a combined 0-9.

The real season begins in New Orleans.
The real season began 2 weeks ago.....just ask the Browns who got crushed by the Titans by 30 points in Week 1...

First off there are only so many QBs with that type of talent on the planet and for you to expect that after we did zero preparation for the end of Romos career is unreasonable.

To get that type of talent with any degree of certainty A HIGH FIRST ROUND PICK NEEDS TO BE USED. not take a flyer at a guy in the 4th as a back up and luck out in him evolving into a franchise QB .

We got lucky stumbling on Dak things could have turned out much worse . Those with the patience to watch him progress are enjoying good football now while those with all the negative predictions are eating their words

Hold whatever standard you see fit but do it quietly the rest of us are trying to watch and discuss the good football we are seeing

LOL... It is unreasonable for me to expect the team to be prepared for a day that was coming for 13 years? I suppose that is one opinion, it is not mine. Plenty of people saw what was going on with Tony at the end and plenty of people spoke on it at length so the whole, "unreasonable" angle does not track with me.

I intend to hold the standard I see fit. I will do that as loudly or quietly as I see fit and you will sit there and live with it or not, I don't care. Either way, you have a choice, make it.

You can hold your hand on your *** till it grows there waiting for the team to uphold your standard . They used a 4th instead of a 1st and we got lucky. Dak is our QB and you have to live with it and have no choice in the matter except to find another team and QB to root for because nothing you can do or say will change it

My choice is Im behind Dak 100% and enjoy watching the good football he is providing As for you IGNORE is a beautiful thing

He didn't miss Witten, he was pressured and got the ball out as fast as he could to avoid the sack. Had the OL given him time, no doubt he would have seen Witten in the corner of the endzone.
I used to fight w/ people all the time who would rag on a QB for not seeing an open receiver. First of all, the guy was most likely not open as the QB went through his reads. Secondly, as soon as the QB starts throwing, DB's break to the ball, so it quite often looks like a receiver was open even though he wasn't.

Still trying to figure how Witten lumbered himself that open!
Witten is very quick, just as he's always been. He simply looks slow. Dude ran a 4.68 forty.

Fans have been underrating him his entire career.
