Dak is an absolute gem. We are very very lucky to have found him in the 4th and not being forced to go through the QB carousel like so many other teams (think Denver, Miami, etc).

Good for him. After the first couple of drives I was starting to wonder. Lol. After the int he picked it up to almost a perfect passer rating again. 4 incomplete passes.

1 - Was a legit incomplete
2 - int, it was behind the WR but was catchable
3 - Gallup lost it in the sun. Dak threw it to the open area and Gallup got under it was tracking it and should have caught it.
4 - I think Cooper just had a drop, hit him in the hands.

The pick, although slightly thrown behind, bounced right off both hands of Cobb and SHOULD have been caught. I saw similar passes caught all day long around the NFL yesterday.

On No. 4, it looked to me like the defender got his hand in there.

Man, I love Dak, and have always been critical on him. I hope he keeps it up. Crow tastes delicious. I've always said the talent is there. He looks really good right now. Throwing some dimes.

I agree. 7 times out of 10 Cobb makes that catch.. 2 times out of 10 it hits the ground.. We saw the 1 time out of 10 that bounces to the defender.. Lol..

Will have to go back and look. I chalked it up to a bad drop. He had one hit him in the hands last week...

He actually had two I felt he should have caught last week and both of them directly affected drives that ended. If Sunday's also was just a drop on his part, that concerns me some because he has issues with it before. I don't want that to get into his head.

Washington was giving him quite a bit of extra attention and singling up Norman on some of the other receivers.

Yeah I know it was a knock on him coming in but he didn't have a problem last year. But I saw at least 1 last week and this week. And like you said, when they effect or end a drive then its a problem.. Not going to worry about it now because we are winning. But the peeps will turn quick when it costs a game.. LOL..

I'm actually surprised we haven't heard that its only the Giants and Deadskins. That is usually the go to for the haters. Make it look like it's because of the inferior opponents
No, I would have been considered a hater before the season.

But Dak has improved tremendously this offseason. It's glaringly obvious. He's putting throws in spots that help the receiver make the catch. He didn't do that before this year.

And maybe it's all in my head, but he seems to progress through his reads quicker, and is more decisive and less hesitant than he was before.

The scary thing is, he's still young and I'm almost positive he'll continue to get even better.

I agree it wasn’t a good pass, but there was a lot of air under the ball and plenty of time for Gallup to adjust. I don’t know if Gallup lost it in the sun like one poster said, or if he just didn’t adjust well. He’s probably never going to play centerfield for the Yankees. Lol
I saw it the same as you, there was enough air under the ball and the sun played a major role in Gallups adjustment to the ball.

What has really helped Dak out, besides a healthy O-line, is the weapons he has to throw to. Went from one of the worst WR corps to one of the best in a single season.

He's putting the ball right on target this year. He didn't do that in previous years.

It's obvious he put in a lot of work in the offseason.

So much of what he is showing was there last year but it was being held back by a way too predictable playbook that meant that the defenders were sitting on the receivers. That resulted in him getting a ton more pressure and making bad throws add that with Kitna who has really seemed to help his throwing motion and delivery and he is a whole new QB. Just think Linenehan could have ruined him and we may never have seen the Dak of this year.

It's interesting that Kitna looks like a better QB coach than Moore was, but promoting Moore from QB coach to OC also looks like a 100% correct move.

Kitna spent about 15 years in the league as a player and was somewhat decent as a starting QB for the Bengals and Lions, so I'm not really surprised he knows a thing or two about teaching the position.

A year ago, you said you wanna see more than just 5-10 yard dink n dunk passes. Now we are moving the goal pole back a bit......lol. He's destroyed 2 weak opponents. Exactly you'd expect from an elite player playing at a high level.
He's playing well and looks really comfortable. Excellent. I just want to wait and see him SSI it against teams that matter in the long run, and then I'm good to go with him long term.

Huge Dak doubter. Believe he's been a bus driver his whole career. Got lucky with the O-line and running game, thus making him better. However, I really believed he was gonna take his game to a different level this season. I wasn't gonna bet my house on it, but I thought if anyone could elevate their game it would be Dak. One thing I've always really liked about him is how he seems to be a great leader on the field. I am not gonna say he's elite yet or make any bold predictions about him. I will say it feels good to be wrong about him after 2 games. I hope he continues to make me wrong his whole career.

Great post. This forum would be a better place if folks didn’t kill and die on every hill and just admit when they were wrong about something. Dak may well come back to earth at some point. If that happens, hopefully the “haters” have more class than the “homers” are showing right now. I won’t hold my breathe for that though...

On topic, Dak has come a long way as a QB at his offseason. Everyone knows he has a great work ethic, so no one should be shocked. I’m crossing my fingers that some of the old bad habits don’t resurface if things get bumpy. Even if they do, Dak has a very long time to perfect his craft. As long as he keeps getting better, I’m happy!
