With the 37th pick in the 2015 draft the Jets selected Devin Smith.

4.4 40 time with a 39 inch vertical (very good)

This is one of the better catches you will see.

He's exceptional at tracking the ball. Wish we could convert him to CB, he might be more useful to us.

I just realized ive been confusing Devin Smith with Devin Street...smh. When they mentioned former Jet on the broadcast I was like "didnt we draft this guy and he sucked"?.....

A reporter actually asked Amari about Devin Street when he meant Smith, lol.

Yeah I don't see Jackson or Glenn either.

He's got more of a stride and isn't as quick as Jackson or shifty like Glenn.

Not sure who I would compare him too.

He’s shifty like Glenn. That cut he made for a first down in the 2nd half yesterday was epic.

After realizing its not the same person, i can't remember him being discussed on the draft show. I tend to remember the first and second round picks.

- I don't see his film tape or his gait, style or body control being as smooth, agile and fluid as either Desean Jackson or Terry Glenn, as some here keep comparing him to.
I saw Jackson and Glenn as better open field runners while I see Devin as more the up field type.

- But I also have to give huge props and apologies to Devin as I admit that I took very little notice and disregard to him.
I didn't take him serious as a guy that really had a chance to show his play and presence and make the 53 roster.

-I never heard anywhere near the rave reviews in camp from Smith, .. that I kept hearing from the likes of Jonvea Johnson, Reggie Davis and Jalen Guyton.
it's actually when the preseason games started, and ended when he began to stand out - and the previously mentioned 3 WRs begin to fade and disappear out of the picture fast.
it even became a sheer guessing game, down to the wire as to which receiver(s) was going to make the final WR spot,... between Cedrick Wilson vs Devin Smith.

BTW, I hope they decide to go ahead and IR Noah Brown and that bum knee.

Devin Smith outplayed Cedric Wilson. It seems he was always open.

Knew nothing about him really save for a few OSU games I watched. But I saw the kid snap off b2b routes in preseason and my eyes popped out of my head..

He is legit. He will shine: absolutely explosive and good hands. I only hope his knee holds up, 3 surgeries is usually the end of the road.

But wow what a gem of a FA find.
