I watched a majority of the Commanders/Eagles game and all of the Eagles/Falcons game last night.

Noticed that their rushing attack is non-existent.

Miles Sanders looks like average runner to me at best.
(10 rushes 28 yards against the Falcons)

Jordan Howard looks like a back-up and see why the Bears shipped him off.
(8 rushes 18 yards against the Falcons)

The Eagles biggest weakness is that they are a one dimensional on offense and throw the ball way too much.

What do you think the biggest weakness is for the Eagles?

Their biggest weakness is their secondary kinda sucks.

And FWIW, there are some criticisms here in Philly of Pederson not running the ball more against a Falcons D that got gashed by the Vikings last week. Pederson can get a bit pass happy like his mentor, Andy Reid.

I'm viewing their offensive line as a weak link this season (after hearing most all the pundits proclaim them the best in the NFL) ; the Falcons got absolutely bulldozed by the Vikings and their O-Line while Wentz was constantly under pressure last night........................

They are one dropped pass (Agholar) from being 2-0. They played an away game and almost defeated the Falcons without their top two WRs, minus a TE, a dinged up QB, and minus 2 DTs (Malik Jackson hurt last week and his replacement Jernigan hurt last night). Had the Eagles had all their weapons, I think they blow the Falcons out. The Eagles have depth, and it showed last night. I think they lack depth on the OL. OL Peters is out of shape and a shell of his former self. They have a coach who is a gunslinger and can call plays and put players in a position to succeed. WR Hollings played well in my opinion when out there in relief. I thought the Eagles cut him this year. So, I was surprised to see him out there.

I would say they are still a dangerous team on offense. On defense, they are bipolar - mostly mediocre but can shine when being aggressive and gambling with blitzes, for example. I think their DBs and LBs are not that good and a weak point for teams to attack.

They are not a ball control offense. Their running game is average. Rookie RB Sanders played better last week and has some speed and power.

Three of their next 4 are against the Lions, Packers, and Vikings. Their offense will have to put up points to make up for their mediocre to bad defense.
I disagree. Philly is lucky it wasn't a blow out. Ryan made some terrible decisions in the redzone and cost them 14 points or so. Atlanta isn't a very good team either, especially on defense.

I do agree with you that Philly has to put up points because their defense is terrible. They are overrated right now and I will be surprised if they make the playoffs.

This pretty much sums it up. Looks like the Curse of the Commanders has hit them. Jeffrey, DJax, and Goedart have the calf/hammy thing going, which can linger all season. Did anyone see what was missing from the Eagles offense? They did not use their 2-TE package at all, and they normally use that a lot. Jernigan is probably out for 8 weeks, Malik Jackson out for the year, still down two guys in the secondary and two starting LB’s. Seumalo sucks at LG. Peters had a great HoF career but should hang it up. Brooks playing off an injury. Wentz still thinks he can bull through people—yes, I saw him rip through some sacks and that throw he made with the guy handing on him shows how strong he is, but he will never last playing like that. I am shocked that they were still in a position to win that game.

But fear not, the East is now ours. Our closest rival is badly wounded and even they can’t survive all this injury mayhem. I might book my tickets to Miami now.

Wentz looks like he is about to get hurt on every play. The Eagles looks like they are getting older. The OL doesn't look as good as it did in the past. The secondary is so-so. Their defense manages because they have a guy who can dominate the middle of the defense.

Having said that, the Falcons DL looks pretty strong. Matt Ryan was horrible last night. He was throwing into double coverage constantly. Both teams are good teams and should not be dismissed but like all NFL teams they have their weaknesses.

Take away Ertz Jackson you’ll win. Eagles are overrated and so is their quarterback.

They have talent. Anyone who says differently is being a homer. The BIGGEST question is can they stay healthy? Both Jackson and Jeffries were injured last night. Wentz took another beating. Their defense is solid and the Cowboys better be ready for those crazy blitz packages.

Many of you are brave and think the Eagles aren't a threat. I think they match up well against us and could be a big problem.

Our biggest weakness against the Eagles..Jeff Heath. Hopefully Wilson gets on the active roster.

If you take away their best player (Matt Ryan), they have looked surprisingly average.

Everyone knows they are threat to Dallas. Just like they know we are threat to them. The NFCE will come down to one of these teams and possibly something much greater. FWIW IMO they need to be concerned with Dallas. The Cowboys have proven they can beat them on the road, at home and from behind. Smash mouth or through the air. However they want to play it.

I think PHI needs to run more, and get some type of attitude as a offense. Not to mention...helping the QB. Run Miles 20 times mix in some Sproles n Howard. At least till the old heads get back.

Injuries piling up on the birds...and with that secondary, Wentz better be able to put up some points.

NFL is a fast break - track meet to some points..we'll see if they can keep up.

The eagles have no power running game, not since they got rid of Blount and Ajayi.

Blount and Ajayi were smashing defenses the year they won the Super Bowl.

The eagles running game hasn’t been the same without them.

The eagles schematically also use a ton of shotgun and RPO’s with their running game. However, they rarely run power running plays. This has caused them to lack a power running game since losing a guy like Blount.

I think it’s what their offense is missing the most to be honest.

A Dangerous Team, ball control passing game is frustrating to opponents unfamiliar with their style.

Stout Run D
Decent QB
Sub par Running Game

Not impressed with secondary or LB'ers. Good special teams and above average physicality.

WC Contender because of easy 2nd half schedule, but Cowboys are clearly the better team and have been.

If both teams play their best ball, Dallas wins by 7-10 points both games. If we play poorly, Eagles are good enough to capitalize and take both themselves.

None of this should surprise anyone not named Aerolithe Lion.

Wentz is decent, and is a few hits away from another lost season. He is lucky to survive last night's game, but tbh- he showed some grit I wasn't anticipating and played well down the stretch.

Jackson is still fast but he's ancient. He is not a threat. He has one foot out the door, and his "hamstring" is just another ailment of an aging athlete. He's done imo.

He can exploit bad secondary play but anyone expecting more hasn't watched football in years.

O line has taken a step backwards (age). Pass Rush is pretty good.

The Eagles are the Bills with a better HC and more experienced QB. Not impressed but still a team you have to play a good game to beat.
