I thought Dak throwing it towards the sideline was the right throw because the DB had position towards the hash. Dak did underthrow it a little so it was a tough play for Gallup to make. I never thought about it but everyone saying the sun may have impeded Gallup’s vision is possible...

I think this was gallup and dak not on same page, maybe accuracy issue....gallup was expecting that ball to the inside and he started to cut that way before looking for the ball, then he tracked it I the air and couldn't adjust.....Perhaps Dak was expecting him to continue to run on the sideline and not cut inside.

I think the ball should have been more inside.

This isn't about giving anyone a pass or blaming anybody. I wanted to know if it was just a miscommunication. Or Gallop just nut reading the Flight of the ball properly. Or the sun whatever it looks like a very completable pass it looks very strange at the end that's all this is about

In a way. The way the Commanders played it, Gallup had room to operate and chose to push his route away from the sideline because of the room. Dak threw it closer to the sideline likely to play it safe and keep it away from Norman. Gallup was clearly expecting it toward the inside as he already had Norman beat and couldn't find the ball and adjust.

So IMO, it was not the right throw by Dak. Gallup could have adjusted and made the catch, but Dak needed to drop that in there.

It looks like Gallup had it Insight the entire time until the last moment. That's what was confusing. I thought he was going to take it to the end zone.

Dak threw it outside to avoid allowing Norman to recover (he had inside leverage but was beaten vertically). Gallup looked like he lost the ball.

We should look into making the sun a June 1st cut

we can spread the cap hit out between now and then when the sun burns out right? Do you think we could trade some of jerrys property on the moon to shad kahn to get ramsey?

Gallup misread the flight of the ball. He had plenty of time and space to adjust and never did so. Broaddus thinks he might have lost it in the sun.

I said the same thing when I saw the replay yesterday. You can tell Gallup is looking up and has no idea where the ball is until the last second. From the replay, Gallup had plenty of time to adjust but looks like he couldn't find the ball.

It was hard for me to tell. Did Gallup just misread the Flight of the football. Yes it was a little bit behind to the outside. But watching Gallup run down the field I thought he had complete site of it. Only at the last moment did he realize he needed to stop and go backwards. Where he could have adjusted his speed throughout the pattern. It just didn't look smooth. Make no mistake about this I'm not blaming either or it was just a strange play

The defender was on the inside so Dak threw it towards the sideline. It was a tad short but catchable. Gallup lost sight of it temporarily or it caught some wind and drifted. Gallup appeared to be mad at himself on that one...

You know, I actually thought it caught wind and drift it also I just wasn't sure I didn't see the flags in the stadium. I think it was just one of those things, I'm not blaming anybody it just looks very strange at the end. Something happened to the Flight of the ball

Yes, Gallup had a long time to look at the ball. If the ball was off target he had plenty of time to adjust.

He just could not see it until it was too close based on his reaction.

I like someone said, the wind took it a little bit. Because he look like he had it. In his site. That's why it was strange

He was heading upfield ahead of any coverage and would have had to turn back toward the sideline and wait for the ball some. What I can't tell on the play is if that was where Dak expected him to be or if Dak purposely slightly underthrew it to make sure he didn't overthrow Gallup, who was practically wide open.

I don't typically blame the receiver when he would have had to adjust his route for a pass that wasn't out in front of him. (If the pass would have hit him in stride if he was more toward the sideline that would be different, but I don't think that was the case.) However, again, I can't say where Gallup was supposed to take the route. I don't think either Dak or Gallup expected him to have that much space to work with.

I'll have to go back and look at it more closely.

It was a perfectly placed ball. Just last week Gallup adjusted to a similar pass. He had to have lost track of the football as the ball was in the air for quite some time.

That's what it looks like to me to he would have had a slow down and waited. What are you didn't do that he looks like he had it in his sight the entire way. That's why I'm saying it was strange

I just dropped NFL Sunday Ticket. The day after you could watch every game in 30 minutes or less. Imagine 15 minutes of the actual offense and defense. In 3 hours. How brutal it truly is this game

I don't feel like I can really speculate on why he didn't locate it and adjust. All I can do is observe that the pass wasn't where Gallup was. Unless someone comes out and says Gallup wasn't where he was supposed to be, then I consider it a bad pass even if it was still catchable if the receiver had tracked it and adjusted. A pass out in front and to the inside was a touchdown. The pass as it was should have been a reception that probably would have slowed Gallup enough for Norman to have a shot at tackling him.
