Brady has a revamped OL every single year
How many first round picks does he have on the OL?
How many of the NE OL have gone elsewhere and been great?

Fact is that it is Brady that makes them better
He is very smart and reads defenses very well do he knows where to go with the football and is very very accurate

Which of these things can you say about Dak?

How about ZERO?

So let’s put a sock in it before giving Brady’s example when it comes to Dak
Way to avoid the subject, Einstein.

You said elite quarterbacks don't drop off when pressured (like an idiot). I gave examples. You've gone stupid.

Shocker.

To be fair, Prescott has greatly improved, so I do expect people's perceptions of him to change as well.
The biggest improvement in Dak is scheme and Linehan leaving.

Daks more decisive now and his footwork is better but that comes with a better scheme and improved weapons

I’ve said it a lot that Atlanta game and Chaz green debacle affected Dak and then some other variables like oline changes and older Dez Bryant look at Daks last 10 games he’s very good and his inaccuracies are largely overblown

Yes but not all QBs require the services of 4 first round picks and even then gets pressured

At some point you have to blame him

Can’t expect him to perform only when he is wrapped in bubble wrap

Your post makes it seem like you really didn’t understand the point being made.

Dak plays well when being pressured.

He didn’t play well his first 2 seasons when being pressured consistently throughout the game.

Dak has also improved on this over time.

Definitely not 10 other QB's in the league i'd take over dak right now. Dude has moved firmly into the top 10 QBs in the league.

Of course no QB can be the same when pressured and not pressured

The elite QBs are able to overcome it

All I’m saying is that we need to see how he does the rest of the year before we anoint him

I was not on the bandwagon and have been HIGHLY CRITICAL OF DAK, but he has shown much improvement this year. They have surrounded him with weapons, and what appears to be an effective OC. Really, what QB would you take right now over Dak?

Mahomes--probably
Brady--Maybe
Rodgers? Not so sure.
Ryan--no way (and when the season started I would have made this swap)
Wentz (Hell no)

Anyone else?
Fair and honest assessment. But Mahomes, probably?:lmao:

I’m not saying he hasn’t improved

I’m saying he’s had problems with it (which other QBs have also had) and we’ve played a couple of cup cakes so we need to see how he does the rest of the year

Only two QB rank in the Top 10 in both depth of completion and quickest time from snap to throw.

Avg Depth of Completion (air yards)
Mayfield 8.7
Jackson 8.7
Watson 8.3
Brady 8.1
Stafford 8.0
Fitzpatrick 7.8
Brees 7.8
Prescott 7.6
Murray 7.6
Rivers 7.2

Snap to Throw (seconds)
Wilson 2.14
Newton 2.26
Carr 2.26
Darnold 2.27
Garoppolo 2.31
Prescott 2.33
Brady 2.34

Flacco 2.36
Mahomes 2.37
Trubisky 2.38

Mahomes and Wentz are the only others who even rank in the Top 15 in both metrics.

I expect to get a little heat but honest question, how much of Mahomes is special talent vs Andy Reid? Remember Reid was a playoff fixture with McNabb. I'm not sure there's a more QB friendly out there. Not taking anything away obviously from his special arm talent but it's safe to say Reid is Kellen Moore x 10. Master at scheming and creating mismatches....

Someone said on TV that watching the Chiefs is like watching the Warriors. Mahomes plays QB like Steph does the perimeter game, in my opinion.

From no-look passes to bombs with the flick of a wrist, he’s doing things I haven’t seen anyone else do.

Dak is playing better. More accurate. More decisive.

It's not just the new games though. He started to backpedal before Dak even played a game. First he was saying the Cowboys shouldn't pay Dak, then he was saying they have to pay but begrudgingly, and that was all before the season even started.

Mahomes will throw the first no-look TD pass. Just a matter of time.

Wentz is in the tent some much I think he is on a camping trip.

He is also 6-17 vs teams with a winning record, something that seems to get overlooked.

That’s because the talent around Wentz isn’t very good.

It just happens to win Super Bowls when he’s not around.

I'll anoint him. Dak is very good and getting better every year. You go ahead and wait for a tomorrow that never comes.

Dak's going to have bad games. All QB's do, elite or not. He worked on exactly the things I was worried about him in the off-season. We'll see when there's an injury or if the O-line struggles for whatever reason, but I think experience, time, and study has done its job and he'll rise to the challenge.

For those of you who never thought he had the ability or would never be good enough, it's okay to believe and admit that maybe you were wrong. He's the QB of the Cowboys. Cheer him on!

I’m still trying to figure out what physical traits and talents Dak doesn’t have that limit his ceiling?

Is he as tall as a Wentz or roethlisberger? No. But he has good height.

He is built like a mini tank.

He is an excellent runner for a QB, has decent quickness and can run with power. He is also hard to take down in the pocket due to his strength.

He has more than enough arm strength to make all of the throws and enough arm strength to make throws off balance.

What physical limitations does he have that gives him a significant lower ceiling than anyone else?
Has his physical limitations ever been a point of conversation?? Inaccurate, poor footwork, poor mechanics wouldn't be a physical limitation in my mind at least. For me it was always about whether he could improve those things.
