And play deep so Jackson isn't uncovered. If it's close, Wentz won't do it
Byron Jones handled McLaurin Sunday and he is just as fast as Jackson maybe faster as he is younger. Awuzie has speed as well. Washington on the other hand have slow corners. Jackson isn't burning guys, especially anyone in Dallas roster

That's why I'm just saying cover him. He didn't really run away from anyone against Washington, they just somehow chose to leave him uncovered.

Byron's problem isn't coverage, it's locating and playing the ball.

As long as he is doing completions I could care less. Yes, turnovers are great but Jones has been shutting guys down. Last season he had more PD than any other corner and he does it without PI. It's not just Jones not getting picks, it's every player in the secondary for years. But let's not forget Jones has a pick 6 on his record

Eagles biggest weakness is their DBs, LBs, and old and injury prone skill position players (Wentz, Jefferies, Jackson).

Bingo! I watch every freaking Eagirls game unless the Boys are playing at the same time and the above analysis is spot on. Also Wentz is streaky, when he’s cold he’s below a average, but when he’s hot he plays like an MVP. He seems to be inconsistent.

Wentz looks like he is about to get hurt on every play. The Eagles looks like they are getting older. The OL doesn't look as good as it did in the past. The secondary is so-so. Their defense manages because they have a guy who can dominate the middle of the defense.

Having said that, the Falcons DL looks pretty strong. Matt Ryan was horrible last night. He was throwing into double coverage constantly. Both teams are good teams and should not be dismissed but like all NFL teams they have their weaknesses.
Remember old offensive lineman fall off suddenly. Remember what happened to Colombo towards the end of that playoff season dallas got whupped in minny

They are one dropped pass (Agholar) from being 2-0. They played an away game and almost defeated the Falcons without their top two WRs, minus a TE, a dinged up QB, and minus 2 DTs (Malik Jackson hurt last week and his replacement Jernigan hurt last night). Had the Eagles had all their weapons, I think they blow the Falcons out. The Eagles have depth, and it showed last night. I think they lack depth on the OL. OL Peters is out of shape and a shell of his former self. They have a coach who is a gunslinger and can call plays and put players in a position to succeed. WR Hollings played well in my opinion when out there in relief. I thought the Eagles cut him this year. So, I was surprised to see him out there.

I would say they are still a dangerous team on offense. On defense, they are bipolar - mostly mediocre but can shine when being aggressive and gambling with blitzes, for example. I think their DBs and LBs are not that good and a weak point for teams to attack.

They are not a ball control offense. Their running game is average. Rookie RB Sanders played better last week and has some speed and power.
You make some great points but after watching Sunday night they don't scare me anymore.
Three of their next 4 are against the Lions, Packers, and Vikings. Their offense will have to put up points to make up for their mediocre to bad defense.

I watched a majority of the Commanders/Eagles game and all of the Eagles/Falcons game last night.

Noticed that their rushing attack is non-existent.

Miles Sanders looks like average runner to me at best.
(10 rushes 28 yards against the Falcons)

Jordan Howard looks like a back-up and see why the Bears shipped him off.
(8 rushes 18 yards against the Falcons)

The Eagles biggest weakness is that they are a one dimensional on offense and throw the ball way too much.

What do you think the biggest weakness is for the Eagles?

Eagles dont have any glaring weaknesses.

I will agree that Sanders didnt look so hot. But Washington had a great run defense before their DT got hurt. And ATlanta has a great front 7.

Vs the Falcons the eagles OL was just not good. With all of the injured eagles injuries the falcons should have beat them by 10+ points. Right now the falcons are an easy win for almost any decent team.

I dont agree with that at all. The Falcons are a very good team with a drastically improved D and tons of weapons on offense for Ryan to throw to.

Not sure how you came away watching Sunday night thinking anything different.

Yet they were still in striking distance to win the game and they didn't. Somehow the Eagles became their own worst enemy. They are a team that just wants to sling the ball around and not play ball control and protect the ball. The Falcons didn't win that game, the Eagles lost it. They will lose again if they keep playing like that. They may be talent in some positions. But their philosophy is going to hurt them down the road in the long run.

They won the Superbowl two seasons back.

They have a good head coach who has a pair.

They have a deep looking roster on paper.

Many teams can come unstuck in Atalanta so I wouldn't write them off after two games.

I expect a tough, very competitive game.

Yes they do.

Their secondary is a glaring weakness. Been one of the worst pass defenses the first two weeks of the season. If Matt Ryan wasn't a boob, it would have been even worse for the secondary. He missed three wide open bombs for big yardage in that game Sunday night.

Excellent post.

I personally think they under use Jordan Howard.
