Cliches are nice and all, but we all know that it's easier to look good against the Giants, Commanders and Dolphins than it will be against the Rams and Patriots. Beating the Giants and Commanders handily does tell you some things about your team--you're at least pretty good--but there's a lot we don't know yet, because those teams are so bad.
Do we know how bad the Skins and Giants really are this season? There have only been 2 games and the fan/media rankings at this time of the season often prove to be wrong.

Dak just beat 2 rivals, where does it state that in the stats? these arent just wins over bad teams, these are wins over teams that will sacrifice tomororw to beat the Cowboys today. Mos tteams step up to beat the Cowboys, this year they know the Cowboys are going to catch fire. It wont reflect that in the stats.

Give it a rest Dak did better than average over teams that would risk a lot to win.

Anything's possible at this point, but I'll stick to my priors and the preseason consensus that both will be bad, which have certainly not been dispelled by their performance in the non-Cowboys games they've played to date.

Wait.

So are we using QBR now?

Because when it’s been brought his off-season to show how it has dropped each year since his rookie season the response was effectively “ahhhh, nobody even knows how that’s computed; gimme that old classic QB rating instead!!!”
Use QBR or QB rating. Whatever hurts you more.
Either way you lose.

btw. Stop making crap up. No one said what you are pretending they said.

LOL Pappydog liking posts that downplay Dak’s
Performance but not responding in any of
The threads.

LMAOO

Some people sell their position so hard and refuse to admit error to such a degree that rather than say "Maybe I was wrong" they sit back and wait for ANYTHING that might remotely give them a lifeline, like if Dak has 1 game where he's not as good. Every QB has those games. Every single one... The second it happens, you can bet that he'll be shouting from the rooftops that he was right all along.

Yeah, but after Miami is New Orleans w/out Brees... beating them won't measure up either. We won't get a real challenge until we play the Packers.
Dak could almost walk on water man...and it still wouldn't measure up. In this league, a win is a win. The NFL is tough...anyone can rise up and beat ya. You still have to execute. Dak does that. THEY STILL can't give the guy any credit...its always a "yeah but."

The Romo and Wentz cult followers just neglect the facts...Dak is damn good. I invite them..come on in guys, its ok to jump onto the Dak train. Go all in or go home. We going to the SB with or without you. Your choice.

wellsaid...these divisional games are brutal..unlike any other opponent. To get the win in the fashion we did over 2 right outta the gate,is very promising. We got the firepower and now we are scary. The haters wont ever get on board. Which is why they are fake Dallas fans.

Dak could win the SB this postseason but even then, some critics would not be impressed. They will say, "yeah but can he do it again."

exactly!! They would say..oh well Brady has 6...or whatever. He wont ever get the love he deserves from some. I guarantee you, what you said is spot on. MANY will say that.

No, Dak’s fine, it’s just his dumb fan boys that provide me comedy relief.

Like I said, when the fact that Dak’s QBR had dropped precipitously each year since 2016, the Dak Boyz all tried to dismiss the metric outright.

Now of course that Dak’s QBR is favorable the same mouth breathers are now “hey guyz, look at this fancy new number!”

You can try to pivot all you want but mantra has been the same: Dak’s not the problem; his dimwitted fans are.
QBR is not good metric but now it's a great metric, I don't understand the polarizing views, Dak has been plain terrible at times yet it's always someone else's fault, now he has two great games and the peacocks are strutting the crows are crowing, but when he has another clunker it will revert to the same old everyone else's fault. I hope Dak keeps it up but I will wait and see as the season goes on. As for the fan boyz as you call them it will not matter how Dak plays he is responsible for every win and every loss is on someone else.

STILL GOTTA EXECUTE. Skins aren't a bad team. They are better than the Gents.. and it was their home opener. WE STILL CRUSHED THEM. We could have beat them worse. We are a very dangerous team. Reminds me of the late 90's Rams.."greatest show on turf" Only this team has the D to go along with it. We just need to tighten the D up.

that's my point too. Its no small feat to open up 2-0 against your division rivals. THROW OUT ALL THE STATS...anything can go wrong in these games. Still got to prep and execute.. We did that. All we can do is play the opponent in front of us. Guess that's not good enough for some.

hey JoeKing and others..I can tell some of us on here aren't surprised with Dak. I saw him do this stuff in College ALOT. He carried bad teams on his back for 5 years at Miss. State. He was allowed to be himself...he had the full playbook open to him there. So when we went with Moore, the same happened.I am not shocked one bit Dak is performing. He does what is asked of him. Linehan didn't ask him to do more than he did...he only opened up a portion of the offense, and Dak stuck to that. He's a real team player. You ask him to make a 20 yard pass on 3rd down..that dude will die trying. Hes a winner.
