I hate this point spread stuff. I hope the team doesn't even know what the point spread is. I want them to prepare as if they were playing the defending Super Bowl champs. I think it was 1972 last season. They're going up against the 17 and 0 Super Bowl champion Dolphins.

I never understand why people think spreads indicate anything other than betting behavior and ensuring that losses can be covered no matter which side wins.

I do think Dallas will handle them with little trouble what so ever. But that's a big number to lay!

That game went off with Dallas -15. The Bengals were 0-7 and Dallas squeaked by 23-20 after starting 14 points down. That was the two time Super Bowl champs playing an 0-7 team.

Do you remember when the 3-7 Cowboys opened up a 6 point favorite over the 10-0 Panthers in 2015? It dropped to around 1 by game time, but still, Dallas was favored. Lots of dumb gamblers out there.

I wouldn't feel comfortable taking the Dolphins or Jets with 40 points. The Dolphins are a mess and the Patriots like to pour it on. I would just stay away from those games.

I can remember a 1-15 Cowobys team with a backup QB that beat a playoff bound Washington team for their only win.

Not just weak, but a disgrace to the sport. They're nothing more than sparring partners to warm up for when the Patriots have to play an NFL team. Since Brady started back in 2001 not a single AFC East team finished with a better record than the Patriots. In 2002 the Jets won the Div. via Tie breaker. In 2008 the Dolphins did the same but Brady was pretty much out all year. Every other year stomped into the dirt. Rinse and repeat. And it will continue until Brady retires. That Div. made Brady look like a god.

The one thing you could say about that Cowboys team was that they gave it their all. As bad as they were, if opponents weren't careful, they'd bite. I remember several games Dallas lost right at the end after taking sizable leads.
