Potentially a bad idea because the move could create two weak spots in the defense. If needed and when necessary they will roll coverage to the weak spot in the secondary.

You could platoon the pair of them at Strong Safety. They have done it before. I think they already know what they have in Frazier. They need to have an open mind about Wilson.

I know that he's not exactly the same type of player as Xavier (much more of a LOS, box style safety), but Jamal Adams (a Dallas kid) just unfollowed the Jets Instagram and removed mentions of the Jets from his bio....

As much as people will scoff at something social media-related like that, that type of stuff carries weight with young guys like Adams and is not done for no reason

I do like that we have some options. We may start out with Thompson there against the Dolphins. If he doesn't look good, we may try Wilson. If he looks like an out-of-place rookie, perhaps we shift Heath back and bring in Frazier at SS. If all else fails, Byron Jones can move into the spot and we can use our stronger CB depth to cover by either starting Brown or Lewis, with the other playing the nickel spot.

good news is these injuries could have been far more serious .. and season ending.
injuries do/ and will happen all around the NFL, but this is why we need camp and preseason to help get the best chance to evaluate the bottom of the 53 roster
and see what our depth turns out to be.
