Interesting, I thought Chunn was already on the PS?
I assumed they would be making room for another WR and/or safety. hmmmm

I still wonder who will have to cut/released ( traded ?) for Quinn to able to return to the 53 roster ?
It is getting down the point with the injuries piling up that we may have to give up on Gifford, Knight or Redmond just due to simple numbers.

They are going to have to carry both Gallup and Woods on the 53 and deactivate them until they are healthy. Something has to give soon.

Yes, need to make room for Quinn, and may need S while Woods is out.

A little too late to get into the tank game but this is a good start to tank for Tua.

I'm absolutely unsure of why Redmond is on the roster.

For some reason we signed Jackson instead after cutting Chunn from the regular roster and putting Weber on IR. I'm not sure why that happened unless Chunn was considering his options before returning to the team.

They cut Covington to add Cedrick Wilson.

Oops. That's right.

And can't cut Wilson to make room because of the injuries to Gallup and Austin.

The extra OL or DL makes the most sense. But I think Dallas is still holding out hope of trading Charlton instead of having to cut him.

There was a timing issue related to signing Chunn right back to the practice squad. And they need a running back for practice work so they re-signed Darius Jackson. Now that the timing is OK, Chunn is in and Jackson is out. Jackson is probably staying close by just in case.

if the Cowboys 'give up' on Gifford, I would think it's directly due to a seriousness regarding his high ankle sprain injury, and then it's straight to IR list.
they will keep him around their 53 roster as much as they can, as he's shown glimpses of being a playmaker. you don't give up on those type of guys, unless medical crisis within him
forces otherwise.
But I thought I read where an NFL team can only be allowed to IR a certain number of players.

I've heard they are high on Redmond and Knight, and want to try to maintain them as much as they can. Redmond has versatility to play both C and OG, while Knight has
demeanor and physical ability inside that they apparently like...I believe he was tried outside very early in camp but that didn't turn out too promising at all.

and i'm thinking among Filo, Redmon and Knight, the rumors that other NFL teams inquired about a trade for certain Cowboys OL involved those aforementioned names.
